Hey CAG been trying to figure out a way to go about this but can't seem to figure out the best approach. I'll try to explain as best as possible and hopefully it will make sense.

I have a 360, PS3, PC, Monitor, TV and 2 sets of speakers (2.1 on PC and sound bar on TV) I want to be able to interchange these without having to plug and unplug stuff in. For the most part I want my consoles and PC hooked up to my monitor and 2.1 speakers. The monitor has only 1 HDMI, and I use a DisplayPort to hook it up to my pc. I would like to extend the PC to the TV to watch shows/movies on it. Now if it's hooked up through HDMI and the sound bar is hooked up with red/white to the TV, will the sound still come out of the sound bar? Also, I would like the ability to be able to output the consoles to the TV/sound bar instead of the Monitor/2.1 from time to time. Is there a simple way to do this?

Hopefully I was able to explain clearly enough because the more I think about it in my head, the more I get confused as to how to do it, lol.

Appreciate it and looking forward to see what you guys come up with.

I believe I figured out what I need. I actually need a switch that has 2 outputs. I have one in mind that is 4 inputs and 2 outputs. This should let me freely choose which inputs display to which outputs.

As for the audio there is also and rca switch that should work for the pc speakers. The HDMI should carry it to the sound bar if needed

Yeah, I think you will need switches for HDMI + audio.

Have you found any online? Thinking of getting one for myself too, if it's not too pricey.

These are what I found on Amazon. There seems to be a pretty big jump in price in HDMI switches that have a second output compared to a single output. For me though I'll justify it in that I won't have to mess around with multiple switches and plugging stuff in and out. It'll probably be a few weeks before I get everything set up so I can't speak on it just yet. Reading the reviews though it should be exactly what I need.

Depending upon your TV, I would do things differently. If your TV has digital out (toslink/optical) capabilities, I'd use that and upgrade the sound bar to one that has optical in if yours does not.  If I read everything right, that would eliminate the need for the second HDMI out and the second switch all together.  You can still use the sound bar whenever you like plus you get everything digital.  That is how I have my main TV wired.  All HDMI to the TV and then digital out to the sound bar.  If feasible, it is a better option than going from digital to analog and worrying about any potential syncing issues and the two switches.  More switches / splits = more potential for problems.

My 2 cents.
