It was in stock. When things are on the border of going in/out of stock, that's how it works... it'll show up is in stock on the page but you won't be able to add to cart or will be add to cart but then it'll sell out as you're checking out.

Did any of you read console wars? Nintendo does this on purpose. There's a story in there about how Nintendo only filled a portion of orders received to drum up interest due to scarcity.

Last auction that sold with bids was $87.35.  Assuming they are in a state with no sales tax on amazon and assuming they dont have a store front, they made a profit of $13.20.  Was it really worth it?
