Star Fox Limited Edition Fox McCloud Stone Statue $79.99 - only 5,000 made

I encourage everyone not to buy this crap at eighty buck. But do wait for GameStop to clear them out at thirty bucks at holiday 2016.

The figurine looks well made but unfortunately not going to buy it for $80. If it's available up when it's $50 or less I'd pick it up like the Link or Scervo Statues that got marked down
 
considering that even though this is exclusive to gamestop all the other gamestop exclusives have been in stock for months and months and even took nose dive drops in prices 50% and up nose dive so idk how this post is consider a deal at MSRP. If it a item that truely was limited and priced right i can see it being a deal due to a chance of selling out but that isnt the case here. 

This should actually be posted in shopping discussions instead of deals section until a sale happens with it like the zelda ones. 

 
Definitely not a "deal" - and 5000 "limited run" is a large run size for a statue.  Not sure why this is posted in "deals" since we don't have a new thread every time F4F releases a new statue with a run size of 1/2 this or even fewer.

 
Also of note: 

Very good chance of this statue being messed up quality wise

It is being made by BD & A which we are know is mainly a accessory and nintendo plush maker. 

This is there first attempt ever of making a statue.

The two zelda ones posted on here before were dark horse/F4F statues two companies that been making statues awhile

I was initially like, "wow, cool bundle with Star Fox Zero bundle." Then I saw it's just a statue.

Nintendo sells statues that don't do anything for $13. Why would anyone pay $80?

 
At 5000 unit. It would just make more sense to bundle it with the game and with fancy packaging. There are plenty Nintendo nerds to buy the bundle for $150.

Announce it first on Nintendo direct, and fan boys will preorder like motherlovers in attempt to sell it again for profit

The Zelda statue was definitely alot more than 5000 made though. Each of the 4000+ Gamestops had 2 to 4 per store + it was available online as well, but regardless, the new $29.99 price for a F4F Link statue is hard to beat. Waiting for this to drop to less than $40. But I would still have a tough time pulling the trigger then. Star Fox is not Zelda!!!

yea the Zelda ones dropped over 50% in less then a month after release not even a full month went by so if this one comes out early next month then hopefully we see a similar drop early March lol I can wait a extra month

But *usually* these type of items are going to be hard to find or have some chance of being limited in some capacity. Most people's point here is that the statue is almost guaranteed to be cheaper at some point.

When Halo 6 Covenant Edition is announced for $300, there will be a thread, and there will be people trashing that thread too.
