David Bowie, Legendary musician, known for many hit songs such as Fame, Space oddity, Let's Dance, Suffergate City and many more has passed away at the age of 69 after an 18 month battle with cancer. He just released a new album on the 8th which was also his 69th birthday. He will be remembered by his wife, son and daughter.

Dammit. Even if you weren't a big fan, you could still find time to appreciate his music. He was and still is an awesome man and he'll still continue to inspire even through the far reaches of space and time.

 
The sad thing is when I read the headline out loud at work, all but one (I had five others in room at the time) said, "Who's David Bowie?"  Grrrrrr!  Granted, the oldest one of the bunch who asked who he was is about 33 years old, but really?  I know I was able to name a dozen or more songs off the top of my head, movies, past relationships, etc. and they were all still scratching their heads.
