It's been mentioned numerous times in the GS thread. Worked without hassle for me.

Well it didn't work for me. I was in the store and asked for the trade value and they said it was $22. What am I supposed to tell them? "Uh no actually with a glitch you can give me $30" they're going to laugh in my face.

Sorry for your luck. Try a different store, go to the same store when different employees are there, or move on and don't stress about it.

No really, I am eager to know what you said when they told you it's worth $22 to get them to give you the $30. Do you tell them it's on the guaranteed $30? I'm legitimately curious and not playing around.

Oh trust me, I am dumb for buying this pile. I do want the $30 but can't waste more time driving around trying to get it.

I said nothing. I traded PS4 and XB1 copies of AC: Syndicate and a copy of Blops III. They rang up as $31.XX. The guy asked if I was interested in preordering anything. I said no. Total was $93.XX for the three games, no pre-order.

False. I called two Gamestop locations and even with PuR the max you can get is $24.20.

First rule, never trust anything GS employees say. Just go through with the trade and expect $30 or $32.20 (PUR) back. Done deal.

Yeah I wholeheartedly agree with that rule. I think the one or two who post on here may be the only ones with common sense. I'm going to go back in there today and try it. $33 is $8 more than I paid for the new copy so I would be stoked to get that. Do you know if it would stack with the "trade 4 get $20 extra" for PuR members?

The guaranteed $30 will not stack with the extra $20 for four games. Been confirmed here multiple times.

Hoping the $20 works with 50%, though. My body is ready.

What I'm caring about right now:

image.jpeg

GameStop currently offering a mere $22 credit, and Best Buy is offering a $25 credit. Either way I buy lots of things at Wal-Mart and could use the most I can get. Since I only paid $25 for this game on Black Friday I may do alright here.

GS will give you $30 for it if you do it by Sunday; it's one of the guaranteed $30 games.

Edit: If the employee just scanned the game in either inventory system it wouldn't give the promo amount. Has to be done in the register program to show the promo credit.

Has anyone had issues with walmart (online) trading in multiples (2) of the same game but on different systems?

Oh ok I'll be sure to inform my local GameStop employees that some guy on a forum knows otherwise and they need to give me the full $30 credit.

Nice edit after you realized you were wrong.

Nah, I still think you were a pompous douche in how you wrote your response, but didn't want to sink to your level. Oops.

I guess I'll just have to use the credit for gas and groceries. Prepaid visas and mc's are a no-go, as well as other gift cards since the 1st

Thanks for the info. Was it declined by the system, or just an employee?

Yeah, did the system deny you or did an employee?

It was the pos, I tried to have a cashier ring it up but it said on my screen like ineligible tender. I also tried self check and it didn't work. Also went to another 1 later and tried restaurant gift cards and it didn't say anything the csm couldn't get the pos to take the gift card though. I tried set amount visas and mc's and reloadable 1's. None worked

There was a note at self check out a few months back about certain cards not allowed with gift cards. They probably started putting it into the system. I only remember the AMEX set value cards working for me at self check out. Self check out was the best way to do it; scan, swipe card and then pay before any one would notice.

I used to just go into Sam's Club and buy those Vanilla Mastercards back when I flipped heavily to Walmart. Self checkout and then out the door. I had to have done $3-4k.
