Didn't Tiger Direct buy the Circuit City name?  So this is really just a Tiger Direct retail store then under the guise of Circuit City?  Definitely not the same as the original.

There was some great stuff clearance when they left.

Still have a sealed copy of Zelda link to the past inside the fallout 3 lunch box

If it was same as the original it would just go under again, so I guess from that perspective they're already a leg up. ;D

Considering Tiger Direct is on its way out and they sold to another company, no idea who, then it is even more removed from the original.

Was thinking the same thing... the TD brand might be owned by another company but the management and whatnot are probably gonna move on to CC and do the same shit again.

TD cleared out a bunch of inventory on eBay and then started sending out cancelation emails. The problem is, they weren't through eBay/Paypal, nor did they cancel the eBay transaction/refund the money. They're probably hoping to make some money with people who forgot that they bought something for $2-3.

Everytime someone mentions Circuit City, I think of that infamous $5 price glitch on video games they had 12 years ago. Man I went crazy on JRPG games (PS2/DS/GBA) that day. Good times.

Yeah they had amazing clearances and deals with the $5 sale being the best of all. Circuit CIty and Sears were my favorite places to buy games with both stores usually still having the games tagged at full price so you could wait until they dropped in price to a few dollars and they would still be there. Sadly with Circuit City gone, Sears and Kmart no longer selling games and Best Buy no longer having similar type of clearances, the days of getting current gen games for under $3 or $5 are mostly gone.

I remember getting the original Rockband Bundle for 360 at Sears for 4.97. This back when it was still going for $150+.

Sadly did not join CAG in time to get in on any Circuit City deals, but I dug up an old thread at one point and saw what that $5 sale was like. Seems like every single game during that time was $5 lol. Mario Kart Double Dash, Marvel vs Capcom 2 etc. I wish I got in on that sounds nuts.
