So I have a one-time use promo code worth $129.99 plus free shipping (even though I know Razer offers free shipping on orders $49+) that I’d like to get rid of. Here’s how I got it and why I don’t want it.
I bought the Ouroboros back in May 2015, worked great until Nov 2015 when the mouse wouldn’t hold a charge and would turn off as soon as I took it off the dock. I sent it in to Razer and since at the time the Ouroboros was out of stock, they offered me a promo code for the amount that I paid ($129.99). I used that to buy the Mamba 2015 along with paying an extra $21.22 for the difference, which arrived just before christmas. For some odd reason, when using the mamba in wireless mode it dropped the framerate on EVERY game I played. I’ve tried everything and the only success I’ve had was to lower the polling rate in Synapse to 125Hz. Here’s where my frustration began. I made five attempts within 2.5 weeks to get an RMA before razer actually responded. I sent it in and about 1 week later I get an email saying $21.22 was processed for a refund, but my $129.99 promo code was nowhere to be found. They wouldn’t offer me a refund of that amount since it “exceeded the refund period” reflecting my Ouroboros purchase in May. After a good 8 attempts in 2 weeks in speaking with razor customer service, I finally got the promo code back. But frankly, I’m sick and tired to dealing w/ razer and their products and I want to give non-razed mice a shot.
