Will Gamestop take my 3DSXL with a cracked top screen? Well see...

I have two 3DSXL lying around with cracked top screens. I'm not sure if Gamestop in Canada will take them but I'm going to find out. This is kinda an experiment, but I'd like the money too.

I know to bring chargers for them.

Will Gamestop take them? I'm kinda interested to find out and kinda hope they do as their useless to me. I'll report back later. Any tips in the meantime?

They won't.

You're better off trying to sell it on eBay.

Do they still turn on?

The screens are replaceable, and there are tons of people on eBay who do look for these types of systems specifically since they fix them and then resell them after replacing the screen.  If you're pretty good with these kinds of things too, you may even be able to do this yourself assuming you're handy enough with a solder.

I have a working great NEW 3DS, so those are just lying around. I am handy with a solder but would just rather not. /lazy

I have an Animal Crossing 3DS that I've system transferred. I just don't take it out drinking with me anymore.

I did a little research online first and saw something about a refurbish fee. I know their shady with details over the phone or i'd call them.

"Some systems we accept broken, 3DS is not one of them." That was my official response from GameStop. Well that ends that.

So the 2 3DSXL's I had lying around for more that a year have been shipped off to Alberta; thanks to Ebay. Thank you Squarehard for the advice. I made some coin where it didn't exist before. Now I just have to deal with Ebay and PayPal.
