Wombat should get on that Batman Season Pass. Everything for the Season Pass is out and is pretty fun. Tons of content, new main game stuff, spin offs quests, etc.

Also here's a link to my panel. It starts at around the 3:17:00 mark.

Yeah, I paid $18 for it and the game thanks to Amazon, but for $30 you get about 6-10 hours of fun content. They did a really good job.

Wait, what in hell is Shipwreck doing criticizing Wombat's movie viewing habits? Any asshole who willingly spent money on Pixels officially forfeits the right to ever call out another person's movie tastes.

Not sure about homes sold in Long Island, but in CA when you buy a home part of the closing process is to also get a "home warranty" for a year, they cover some of the stuff your insurance wont cover, including appliances and sometimes plumbing.  Usually they'll have a maximum payout for anything that could get expensive, however it will cover some of that $3K cost.  check your closing documents they should list it.

Not really sure what's going on with your hot and cold water, sounds like you get hot water for a while, then it turns cold?  That sounds more like your hot water heater is running out of hot water, some of them have settings where they fill up only at night (to save on energy costs of heating the water), check the settings on the hot water heater.

It's also possible your home uses hot water for things other than hot water out of taps (I had a home with hydronic, ie under floor hot water, heating).  In these homes the hot water heater will usually heat the water much hotter than you'd want it coming out of the tap, so there's a valve where they "mix" the extremely hot water from the heater with cold water to make it tap temperature.  That mixing valve might be broken, mine was, in fact for mine it would leach hot water back into the cold water pipes (because I guess the hot water was at a higher pressure than the cold water), so sometimes when you'd turn on the cold tap, you'd get hot/warm water come out for the first minute.  That might also explain what's going on, if you adjust the shower temperature in the first minute, then after that the cold water comes out much colder.  I had several plumbers out (even hydronic heat specialists) who couldn't diagnose the problem, I spent some time in the crawl space figuring it out myself, then got a plumber to install another valve that only allows water to go one way, which fixed the problem.

Also try and find where the main water shut off valve is before the next emergency, sometimes you need to turn that one off (if say there's a leak in a pipe), mine's by the front door, I had one that was in a box in the lawn before.  Ask the plumber where it is next time you have him over if you have to.  If you have any more "I don't know where the shut off valve is" emergencies you can turn the mains off while you find it.

Good luck.

It is still too much, I don't have the HD space for it. I deleted the game this week.
Dammit Sony! Hurry up and support external HDD usage. Not cool that first-time owners have to buy a hard drive at purchase.

Me I'm going to wait for a GOTY edition or something. The Batgirl DLC is short. And once again like in Origins, the final piece of DLC released for this Batman game is another Mr. Freeze story.

Even if Ben Grimm's Jewish, I bet they also forgot that he's from the Lower East Side. Thankfuly Aunt Petunia won't get to watch this ever hating piece of drek.

Yup, I asked about that main shutoff valve the first thing the next morning.

We aren't running out of hot water, we think one of the fixtures is leaking water back into the pipe or something like that #notaplumber.

This is similar to what i was describing with the mixing valve it's called hot-cold water crossover (I googled it). It can happen either at the hot water heater itself, or at a fixture.

If it's a fixture, you should be able to turn the shut off valve on your hot water tank, so that no hot water comes out (usually the shut off is located on the cold water going in, turning that off will reduce the pressure so not hot water comes out). So no more hot water coming out of the tank. Now go turn on all your faucets to hot, it'll probably take a while for the pressure to die down (if you have a two story there will be water in the upstairs hot water pipes that needs to drain), but after a few minutes no more hot water should come out. However in the fixture that is broken when you turn on the hot water, you should get cold water coming out (probably quite slowly). You can temporarily stop it from happening by just locally turning off the either the hot or the cold shut off for that fixture (unless it's a shower which doesn't have a shut off) until you can get the fixture replaced.

If that's all too much for you, turn off either the hot or cold shut off for every fixture in the home. If that fixes it then you can turn them on one at a time until it starts happening again, unfortunately it will take a while for the water to leach through that fixture so you might want to leave it overnight (yeah that's a pain, which is why the first diagnosis method is more preferable). If turning them all off didn't fix it, then it's probably a shower.

Sorry I thought about it a bit more and you probably don't need to turn off the hot water at the tank, you can probably test each faucet individually by locally shutting off the hot water, then turning on the hot water tap.  If cold water comes out that's your bad faucet.  Obviously this wont work for showers like the tank method would, but it's much faster/easier.

It sounds like you've had a lot of remodeling going on recently so I wouldn't assume it's not one of the new faucets... sometimes they're broken coming out of the factory.  This seems like the sort of issue a previous owner would have eventually fixed, so that would make sense.

Usually, I love a good Cheapy poop story. Who could forget the time you had to use a coat hanger to chop up that one turd? Unfortunately, I decided to listen to the show while grabbing a quick burger for dinner. I think it was your ability to discern your own poop due to eating carrots that made me pause and take out my headphones. I'm only three minutes into this weeks show, and look forward to finishing the rest on my commute tomorrow morning.

Shit Cheapy! I hope you had some words with the people working on your house. Slacking off it seems..

There is also a demo for Lego Avengers on PSN which I might check out after hearing Wombat's impressions.

The Battle of Jakku didn't take place in The Force Awakens. It took place years earlier, and is the reason for the Star Destroyer wreckage that Rey was scavenging. The battle is detailed in the 2015 book "Lost Stars" (which is also the best Star Wars story of 2015).

Yeah, like how they changed that Captain America was from the Lower East Side to Brooklyn in the movies, probably because modern audiences would have a tough time imagining that part of NYC as poor now.

And Brooklyn is? Everybody thinks Williamsburgh, even I have never set foot in that neighborhood in 10 years.

It was pretty funny hearing Shipwreck claim there was any worth in that flaming pile of shit.

A-Team is back on tv last I checked. 10PM on channel 4.2.

Williamsburg was poor in the 80s and 90s. So cheap that lots of artists moved in and it became trendy and the epicenter of the hipster scene. I used to work in the Red Hook section of Brooklyn. It's still poor and sketchy. Some nice parts but mostly places you don't want to be after dark.

I forgot to mention, I agree with Ship's comments about Dying Light aside from the typical Techland jank, their games always just feel and play differently to everything else.

I am really looking forward to the Following expansion this week.

Cheapy too bad you didn't record any of the Money Pit like house problems.  It would have been amazing to see your shit coming out of the shower on youtube.
