Devil's Third (Wii U) in-stock GameStop / Amazon - $59.99

Argh... I just had this shipped from gamefly and they don't have the option to buy it. Wish I had the chance to play it first before pulling the trigger on this!

Shit, I can't do it. I'm one click away from confirming the order. I have a bunch of GS credit, but I just can't spend $60+tax on a game that's not even enjoyable. I guess I don't want to be that kind of videogame collector. I have all of the first party Wii U exclusives except Mario Tennis and Xenoblades. I guess I'll just stick to the "first party" Wii U exclusives for my collection instead of all of the Wii U exclusives.

If it was preowned for $49.99 with 10% from PUR, that would be a little easier to swallow, but still a lot. I bring this up because these  gamestop "new" games are very unlikely to still be "new" and sealed.

Ok, back to sleep I go.

You guys talking about a reprint may be correct. It's available to order right now from amazon for $59.99 saying "Back-ordered. Due in stock February 9 -- order now to reserve yours"

This just popped up right now.

If it was in store I would say you have a point but this is gs.com
You are probably right in this case because it looks a little more like a restock. I've bought a lot of weird "new" games from gamestop.com and 95% of the time they are the display copies with price stickers and those shitty clear circular stickers holding them closed. It's happened to me with 360, ps3, wii, 3ds, and vita games. The most recent was that Zone of Enders limited Edition. I should post pictures of how fuck ed up all of the contents look before I return it.

Ok, now I'm really going back to sleep.

Gawd damnit. I was just about to buy the game until I read this lol. I decided I am going to go and convert my trade credit to ebay gc which I will use to buy a Best Buy E-GC. That along with the $50 BBY E-GC I received from Samsung along with gift certificates I should have about $235 all together.

Damn... kinda pondering if I should keep my full price copy now. Depending on the reprint, I might be able to snag it on BBY or Amazon for less.

Rozz retired from the game too soon.

Pour one out for the homie

Why are people wondering if it's a reprint? There was none. Now there's some. How do you make more things exist? You make them exist.

Making an artificial shortage for this game was a brilliant marketing decision, it gets people talking about the game and people are actually paying full price for it.

Nintendo will keep releasing more copies in a low quantity every month, until it's not "rare" any more.... But by the time people catch on, the game will have already managed to sell a ton of copies at full price. Brilliant.

The only people who worry about whether the game is rare or not aren't even playing it, so why does it matter? It's not like you'll get anything out of having it lol.

Now I really feel like an idiot for buying this when it was suppose to be "RARE" F@CK YOU NINTENDO!!

This game deserves to succeed, so I don't see anything wrong with that outcome.
Agree. I don't understand all the hate for this game. Its single player is no worse than most 6/10 games which is what I would rate it at. The multiplayer is 9/10 period! It has its technical issues since the game was in development hell and it shows, but it's very clear to see the developer's ambition of making something different than your average shooter and he mostly succeeded. I haven't stopped playing this game since day one online and don't plan to any time soon. I will also play the supposedly better performance PC version when it comes. In fact, I sold my Splatoon because of this game, knowing I will never have the time to play it again even though it's a more technically refined game. For online gameplay, DT is way more fun after you finish story mode, collect all war trophies, and play time attack to get golden eggs for multiplayer and sink in 10+ hours online.

I'll give it a go supporting something new.  Keeping my expectations in check. Delivery date from Amazon is the 15th.   Thank you OP for the posting.

Saw this on Amazon a couple days ago and ordered. I have a copy but didn't wanna open it. Now I can have a copy to actually play. I like goofy games like this, to a degree anyways.

I'd hurry up and buy this game, it's rare and only a few exist!

Buy 3, one to keep sealed, one to play, and one to sell for $$$$$ in a few years.

Quick, Amazon only has 264 copies left. Better get yours now or lose out in an experience of a lifetime. This game is better than sex!!!

Let the tanking begin...f the prospectors, I say...though it seems like more people actually hate the developers and Nintendo, as if they said the game was rare, out of print, or worth over MSRP.

Strange why anyone would hate anyone, unless this game was really awesome and you really want to play it, but the price was too high or there wasn't any copies available...but now there are copies...

It'd be nice to reflect on these points maturely without any name calling.

At least they're charging srp for the reprint.  I more than expected Gamestop to pull a Xenoblade and sell them as used for $90.

Tons of copies have already sold unfortunately... I lucked out on a MSRP copy on Amazon, which I almost traded a copy for Bayo 2, which I again lucked out on at Target. Wish I had made the trade b/c this game is likely gonna end up in the clearance bin and I just missed AMZ's return window.

Sounds like someone suffered a reject head injury.

I don't think there is "hate for this game" as much as there's "dislike for the mentality" of why people want to grab this game in the first place.

I actually think there's a little more to it. It's lame to want what is regarded as a crappy game only because it's "rare."

For the most part, almost nobody will knock you for picking up Bayo 1 + Bayo 2 as it is regarded as a good game that is now somewhat rare.

But this ... idk. Seems like a waste of money. And those defending that this is "actually a pretty decent game" have an uphill battle convincing people that is actually true.

The game is OK single player wise, but MP is where it really shines. I'd probably give it a near 7/10 but because of the ADS issues and wonky frame rate it's hard to recommend right now. I know the PC version is coming out eventually which will be free to play MP.

I'm actually playing it right now and the problem is they unlocked all the modes in MP, so It's hard to find a match that isn't the standard FFA or Team Death Match till they add the 5x XP in other modes to attract people. This was the shining point of the package - the MP, and now It's not really feasible ATM because of the lack of players and incentives for people to jump online.

It's near impossible for me to recommend this game at $60 now. Maybe if it gets a bigger reprint to the point where copies just kinda sit there and the price drops? It's definitely worth $20 for what It's worth.

It's like a B level PS2 Japanese game.

Just look in your mirror.

Was the attack necessary? A simple I don't agree and some supporting statements would have been enough. We all like and dialike different things so don't go attacking ppl based on what you like. You are not the only one in this world you self-centered moron.

It's an opinion. The post I quoted sounded like to me that the writer had a serious head injury for what they wrote about Devil's Third.

Don't like my opinion, there's an ignore button just for this purpose.

Of course, don't try to better yourself by being less of an ass, instead just tell people to ignore you! Because that'll fix everything. I suppose you can't expect people to change, that would just be crazy.
