The Last Remnant Remastered coming west on December 6

I vote that Square-Enix lets LRG have a physical release for this. $30 (their usual $20 digital "MSRP" + $10) would be a perfect price point.

This is a game changer. We can expect the likes of JAST and Mangagamer to release fully uncensored VN directly onto steam for greater visibilty now.

Meltys Quest, an HRPG has already taken advantage of it and has updated their steam copy to include the uncensor patch which previously required a separate download.

The Switch version came out a week before the PS4 version and actually went OOS for a couple days right after release (my in-store pick up order was even canceled by BB).  It did come back into stock eventually by the Friday after release though (and the store I preordered it at even got copies in the following week).

It's 100% region free, as is the DLC & Patches I believe, unlike the Vita that's region free, but DLC & online passes are region locked. I don't know if any of that may change with online now being charged for soon, but we'll know more tomorrow after the direct.

Absolutely, these are like the 'enhanced' editions of the main games from the ps3.

But i believe they are remaking them for ps4 too but only the first one for Japan only has been confirmed so far.

I don't believe each region allows for other DLC to be used, but that you can have multiple regions, and access them rather easily. When this came to the Vita, you could have different region accounts, but you needed a memory card for each region, and a system reset each time to switch between(a total ing nightmare to say the least).

 

So the same way you can switch between regions to get a cheaper game someplace else, would mean the DLC would be just as easy to access if it was offered elsewhere. So while not exactly 100% region free in regards to DLC and such, it might as well be, as it's beyond user friendly to "switch" from region to region.
