Game Collectors: What are you looking forward to getting this year?

For those that collect gaming paraphernalia, anything coming out this year that has your interest?

I pre-ordered the Doom CE cause I wanted the statue. I'm disappointed with DE: Mankind Divided CE so guess I won't be getting that.  but I have a $150 credit to get something just not sure what's coming out this year that would be worth having. I'll probably definitely get FF 15's insomnia edition but not sure when it's available for preorder.

Do you guys ever get tired of collecting? I not trying to be offensive. I am seriously wondering what you guys do with all the things you collect. I love collecting things but my space is so limited. I have a good amount of stuff sitting in storage. Just defeats collecting in my eyes. So I'm curious.

Collecting fatigue does happen from time to time, but I've learned to deal with it. Reorganizing every so often helps with space issues, and becoming pickier about what you buy is probably even more important.

As far as games go, I never pick up anything I'm not meaning to play, and collector's editions have to be reasonable in size, scope, and price (Atlus and Blizzard tend to be pretty good about this).

And to answer the OP's question, the only game CE I have on preorder right now is Bravely Second's, so I guess that one. Still have to beat Bravely Default, though

I've collected pretty out of control for the last 2-3 years... plan on cutting back quite a bit. I think the 3DS and Wii U will likely be the last systems I collect for. I have a PS4 and barely own any games for it after a year.

RIght now I just have the Uncharted 4 CE preordered but that's about it for major stuff.  Maybe the new Mass Effect CE depending on its price and content.

This is actually a valid concern, and one that I've been facing myself recently. I've also started running a little short on room, and often have to box up parts of my collection to optimize my space. And it has begun to affect how I collect. I've stopped pushing to get redundant collector's editions, for a start. I don't need oddly-shaped boxes with little statues or other such extras. I will usually go for regular release editions, or possibly for steel-books. (which are the same size as the regular release boxes) I don't have much desire for the "extras" that come along with most "collectors editions," and most of those extras just take up extra space in my house. I make exceptions for high-quality art books. I really like art books.

A lot of my collecting is motivated by a natural instinct I have for curating. Part of my desire to collect games is to maintain a historical archive of past games, and the means to play them.
