metal gear solid 3 --19.99 new at EB

Good find for those who haven't played the game yet...

Though I really can't recommend it with Subsistence coming out... that's going to be superior in every way which makes this a difficult purchase even at $20.

What is the differenc between the two? What are they adding to the newer version that the original didn't have? I'm just curious since I was thinking about ordering this.

the new one has an online multiplayer mode now. That's the major addition

Besides the Online Multiplayer its also adding a new 3rd person camera like that of splinter cell. And MG1 and MG2 will be included, the old NES games.

The new camera system should be a huge improvement. The only thing that I didn't like about MGS 3 was the godawful camera that kept you from seeing where your enemies were. With a workable camera, the game should really be flawless now. For me, the addition of MGS 1 and 2 and the multiplayer is just icing on the cake.

There is also a theatre mode to watch all of the game's cutscenes and a, um... pervert voyeur mode...

I was going to order this, but I guess I will wait for Subsidence. Will that retail at $20, or will it start at a higher price?
 
I'm pretty sure that it will retail at 49.99 rig , i ordered snake eater like 2 weeks ago , i am playing it right now i agree the camera does suck but that's about it i am still enjoying it !
 
I remember getting Substance (the PS2 version) for $39.99 at CC the day it was released, but maybe that was a special price.
