thanks

As I was the one who tossed him into the Trading Ban oh so long ago, it was mainly this, changing rules on lowballs and getting a bunch of pitchfork and torch wielding CAGs to complain about this type of bullshit. Since things changed according to his whim, nothing was consistent, people were stiffed out of items that they won, and it was time to end that kind of crap.

Of course, it's up to the current mods on what to decide on reversing it, though I would be pretty surprised if any of them decided to, knowing who's still at the helm for the mods.

Won't bother me either way.

The feedback manipulation was what sealed the deal for permanency, as that's so against the rules, it doesn't need to be explained, save for the people in the room that are first-generation in their family to be walking upright. Or your name is starmask2k3, which is the same thing.

Why don't you make your case to the public too?

It's been so long since you were banned, and I can't quite remember what it is, but it was most likely lowball related.

I'm sure those you have offended will want to give input into this issue, and maybe they can help give the mods feedback and input if you were to be unbanned or not.

What did you do again exactly that got you banned?

I was  asking the people that gave me Negative or Neutral feedback if I can give them 5$ to change it to Positive I didn't know you  couldn't do it

There is no .gif that can properly convey my reaction after reading the reason why the OP got a trading ban. I still hope that someone will try though.

Seems rather silly to think that would be allowable at any point though since it clearly falls under feedback manipulation.

Why bother with it too since you have more than a fair amount of positive feedback?

Kind of not worth it.

Though, I can personally see that as something that may be forgiven as long as none of your positive feedback was actually left for you because of that, and all of the positives you do have now are not in question.

I wonder if there would be a possibility to wipe the slate clean, and they can offer to lift your ban, but they will also delete all of the feedback you have, and just let you start from 0 feedback.  Seems like a fair trade off if you truly want to get back into trading, and you can probably easily rebuild that up as long as you are back to trading.

I think it was because of the lowballs, if I remember correctly he was making up rules as it went! I think one was if two people posted the same bid, he would bump up the price with the second persons bid.

All did was ask them if they would take 5$ to change the feedback no feedback was changed

But that in itself is the problem.

It's really should not be that hard to understand why that's wrong. Just because your plan wasn't successful, doesn't mean you weren't wrong in the first place.

In the end, here's the thing. You're still not admitting that you've done anything wrong, and you continuously keep trying to justify getting unbanned rather than acknowledging you screwed up.

I'm not saying I wasn't wrong for doing it because I am wrong

Feedback manipulation (whether executed or intended) is a hair better (and only maybe) than flatout taking an item or money with no reciprocation. On an online trading site, there's very little better to secure the users than feedback if the transactions are generally user-to-user with little oversight from the website. The only way to know if a user is reputable and good on their word is from previous trading interactions. Mucking with that by offering money in exchange for a better feedback rating completely undermines the system and marks such a person as extremely untrustworthy.

Sorry to say it (not really), but there's almost no chance you're getting unbanned.

I 100% think I did my time for it
No, you didn't. It proves you were shady as shit and that's not something you can say "whoops, my bad, I promise I won't do it again :whistle2: ".

Once you've been shady as shit with feedback manipulation, you're done. One of the current mods I'm sure can look over the situation and decide on what to do, though as there's not that many newer ones that weren't around back then versus now, though it's completely up to the mods to decide on what to do.

Personally, I think it should be when the sun rises in the west and sets in the east, or when the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. Maybe you should ask to be unbanned when one of those things happen.

Otherwise, I think you're going to be told to pound sand and I'd bet if you bitch about it enough, they may just kick you to the curb for being a complete waste of space on the site as well as a PITA.

You're the worst trader I ever dealt with on this site, so bad I STILL remember you over a decade later.. surprised you aren't banned yet honestly.

I meant banned from the entire site (should've been specific)... I remember the time he was asking CAG's in NY or somewhere like that for a place to stay for free while he was in town. He was ripped so badly for that, it was a hilarious thread

Did you read my comment... it was a decade plus ago. Just suck it up and realize you're never trading here again for good reason, getting on here and begging makes you more likely to be banned from the whole site. You can't trade on here, life goes on...

Imagine if slidecage and starmask had a baby.
They did.
