LittleBigPlanet 3 $9.99 GameStop

So glad I bought this at launch and still haven't opened it (though at least got it adjusted down to like $30 with an early sale).

Great deal, but here's a thought: are they telegraphing this to be free next for PS Plus next month? Of course it's been a while since we've had a AAA title on Plus but it might be time.

Good deal. Not my favorite of the series, but not bad. I think they've finally fixed the major glitches also.
Ya...it was a mess at launch... They obviously rushed it out unfinished in time for the holidays. It took them months to patch in the features that were supposed to be there at launch...and like over a year of repeated patching to fix all the glitches and performance issues. But it should be decent now that they've finished the QA testing and programming/development/bug fixing that they should have done before releasing it.

So worth $9.99 now. And there's access to a ton of community content.

I rented this from gamefly around launch and I couldn't get into it. Although there were other games I wanted to play which may have made me subconsciously want to return the game fast and open up another spot in my queue. I'm tempted to give it another go.

I think I'm gonna buy it and see what happens when the Plus Games library is refreshed in April, $10 for a fun game like this is worth it.

LittleBigPlanet falls under the same umbrella that Borderlands does for me. The first game was fun, unique, and exciting, but lost all interest in once it became a full blown multi-game franchise.

Did Hold for In Store Pickup.  When I went to pick it up, guy tried to give me a disk-only used copy lol I had to show him that the paper he printed said "new"

And?

I have one on hold but not sure it's worth the effort. I haven't tried to buy a "new" game in a GameStop store in a while, but I assume the odds of them claiming to only have gutted copies are pretty high.

Was anyone successful in getting an actual new, sealed copy in store?

My copy was sealed. It's a store that knows me by name, so I don't know what that played into it.

Mine was sealed too. The funny thing is that the used version is $17. I asked the guy why this is and he said they want to get rid of the new stock and keep the used one. Mmmkkkay.

Thanks for the reports, all. Mine was sealed, too. Maybe GameStop has changed - for the better? GASP

It'd be nice. More competition is good. And it's nice to support a B&M place where the staff is usually actually knowledgeable and passionate about gaming.

...and he gave me a sealed copy. There were a few in there

Too bad Amazon doesn't price match anymore. I prefer to use prime and I've never been really pleased with gamestop online (live in a remote location so no stores). Nice deal

For the people above asking about Amazon price matching this is the response I was given a while back from Amazon.

Hello,

I understand that you want a price match of an item with a lower price from the other site. However; with the exception of TVs, Amazon.com doesn't offer a price match guarantee.

We consistently offer competitive prices on everything we carry; however, the prices on our website are subject to change. While the Amazon.com website has accurate pricing information, we don't honor prices or savings posted without our permission on other websites.

Ditto. Mine was sealed as well. Definitely worth the $11.

There's a PS3 and PS4 version, OP you should have wrote (PS4) in the title to prevent confusion. Only the PS4 version is listed at $9.99.
