GameStop had a misprint in their flyer for Pokken Tournament $39.99.  It's a Spring Deals flyer and not a weekly ad.  It's viewable on their site, but they fixed the pricing.  I found a physical copy of the flyer in store and asked if I could have it, then took it to Target for the PM.

If you're interested in the cards or 3DS Pokemon games, Target is also doing b2g1 on all Pokemon cards and 3DS games until tomorrow (when they are also handing out free things for a limited time.)

I can't believe they tried selling this joke for $60. Only 16 characters and two are the same as another two? $30 at best. I won't pay more than $10.

 
Thank god I saw this in time. I literally just bought Pokken at Best Buy for $48 and went to the Gamestop next door and saw this post and ran right back with the flyer (that they couldn't find until the guy remembered they had spares under the counter) Didn't expect to pay $40 for it on Day 1!

Good luck with that. By the time you see a price drop like that the next nintendi console will be on its way out. Gamestop wont sell it for less than 40 because nintendo will deadstock this in year or so.
 
I had a lot of luck with the picture. I went to Gamestop to pick up my Roy amiibo and asked about the flyer. They didn't have it, but they looked it up online and it had the correct price.

Went to Best Buy and took my GameStop receipt with me. Told them that I was just in GameStop and they only had one flyer left that was the store copy, which is why I had a picture of it on my phone. They said they don't pricematch GameStop anymore, but they'll do it this one time.
 
Thanks for this post as I was wanting to try out the game (although not for $60). Everything worked out just like you said.

You know a game's price is gonna tank real bad when Gamestop is offering it for $20 off on launch day. Dang homie. This is like metroid other m. Probably gonna be $8 in 3 months.

I might give it a try since I bought from Amazon... But I played it and it really is a lot of fun. Matches are a bit quick but really entertaining. Pretty good visuals for Wii u as well
 
FYI: Do not give up or quit the fight when you online with another players.  They system will take coins away from you for PUNISHMENT!

 
You really can't just make a fighting game based on a series that the entire point of is to "catch em all" and be like here's some fighters. Especially if they add more via DLC.

Also, I had thought this game was like Tekken vs. Pokemon until a week before it came out .__.

 
Funny that you can PM everywhere except the place that printed it. Maybe this is a wild new business strategy for Gamestop.

If it sells well Nintendo will deadstock this in year or so and gamestop will sell it for like full price or more. Xenoblade chronicles X may never deadstock because is wasn't rated better than xenoblade chronicles. I'd get this soon because I think Pokken will sell very well

 
Thanks OP! I planned on picking this up with Walmart gift cards anyways, so this is a great deal! My GameStop had already placed stickers over the spot in the ad, but I was able to peal it off with leaving behind only a small amount of sticker residue. My Walmart didn't have a problem price matching it.
 
Just went to GameStop to pick up a flyer, then tried to price match at Best Buy. They said they literally had a register lock on price matching for pokken Tournament and didn't know why. They might have caught on at corporate.

Got a buddy to pick  up a flyer since I'm going to work pretty soon, hopefully this survives by tomorrow morning at least before Walmart or Target catch wind of it.

Same here. Cashier tried for 10 minutes and couldn't figure out why it wasn't allowing the PM. Still picked it up for $47.99 w/ GCU.

Hmm. The same thing happened to me when I price matched it yesterday. It took her at least 10 minutes before she was able to override it since the manager was right next to her doing a different price match.

Ok i went to my local GS and they still had the flyer out on the front desk i asked for a copy of the game and when he rang it up i showed him that it was marked 39.99 in the flyer so he went ahead and discounted it for me on the spot. thanks for the heads up guys

 
My Toys R Us honored this, didn't question it at all. I got my cel art as well, and I think that the game is going to sell well. It's Pokemon, age rating aside (which parents ignore since you can see kids playing CoD and GTA), it's gonna print money no problem. Most of my stores were running a little low, and the first run amiibo card is going to factor in for the crazy collectors lol.

The GameStops in my area were alerted ahead of time though, so it's probably no go for most of them. Worth noting that a GameStop gave me the poster free since no one was coming in anymore for the game, not sure why. But great that I got so much today.

Pikachu and Pikachu Libre may be the same species, but their playstyles are vastly different. Pikachu is a mid-range-to-long-distance fighter while Libre is all about getting up close and pounding the opponet, which is probably why Libre is getting more attention than Pikachu for this game.

Plus Libre is kinda overpowered compared to normal Pikachu seeing as he gets a stat boost for every grab attack. But I feel like Hawlucha would have been a better choice than Pikachu Libre

At my local GameStop they had a flier on the front door stating the corrections from the ad, but they still had the ads sitting on the front counter. So I grabbed one and took it to Walmart and was able to PM with no problem.

I walked in, grabbed a flyer, went to the front desk and said, I would like Pokken. I know The guy who works there very well and he was like, "dude, I'm sorry but I sold the last one." I said no problem but I asked him if he had any extra twilight princess hd soundtracks and he hooked me up with one. Still worth the trip

well that sucks. Poster quality is average really, and kind of small.

On the Twilight Princess HD OST, I checked with mine and I think I just missed out. Might try that with the Hyrule Warriors Legends artbook...

I assume it's leftover posters from the Pokémon Day celebration. One side is all the Legendaries and the other side is ads.
 
ill give this a spin on asap, my im actually surprised that my girlfriend wanted to get this, she said she watched a Rosterteeth lefts play and that piqued her interest.  if i can squeeze the deal, ill try it, the people at my local best buy are pretty awesome, theyve allowed me to price match and get the 20$ from GCU a couple of times in the past.

but either way, if i can get it for 40, im game.

 
First gamestop i checked some poor employee had gone through every single ad on the shelf and crossed out the price with a sharpie. Next gamestop had it unredacted, and i had no issue getting wal mart to pm. Thanks for the heads up OP.
