Will Gamestop take the 12gb super slim ps3?
I know no658ea3 works there, but saw this online.

Looking to upgrade to a new XBox One? Bring us your Slim Xbox 360 or PS3 (160GB or more) and you'll get a $100 Credit toward the Purchase of a new Xbox One. See Store Associate for Details.

Scroll all the way down, that is the only place I noticed a restriction though.

This is what I see on the website:

$100 Credit when you trade toward a new Xbox One

Trade in your Slim Xbox 360 or PS3 (320GB or more) and you'll get a $100 Credit toward the Purchase of a new Xbox One. See Store Associate for Details.

I see that as well. I also see 160GB or greater... On another page it states "any" slim model. I don't think they have the specifics themselves yet...

Oh and they also changed the fine print:

Trade in your Slim Xbox 360 or PS3 (320GB or more) and you'll get a $100 Credit toward the Purchase of a new Xbox One. See Store Associate for Details.

I wonder if the 320 GB applies to both consoles... hmmm

EDIT: Called my store and they said the 320GBapplies to the phat ps3.  They will take all slim 360s or PS3s with this promo regardless of hard drive size.  They did, however, stop doing the pick your game promotion.

I need to find another way to unload my white 360 S as I already own a One...

The store i called said they are still doing the pick your game promotion.i did not ask when it ends but its going on right now according to him.

To add on to my previous comment.
The employee stated that u can only choose between rise of tomb raider or forza. I believe he mention this is with the gears of war bundle.

Anyone trade their slim xbox 360 in with no hard drive? I received resistance at the one gamestop I went to, and was hoping to hear someone had better luck.

all these ridiculous x1 sales and trade in promotions in march kind of worries me.

maybe i should wait til black friday. or even next year.

im tempted to return my x1 back to gamestop and just get my money back.

I was told over the phone that only one type of console at a time could be traded in.

also was told that it must be a slim PS3, but the way I read "slim xbox or ps3" is any ps3.... I guess that is a ymmv

actually I just figured out both of my ps3s are 160gb (fat and slim)

- damn, does that mean I won't qualify at all for the promo?

Traded in my slim xbox 250gb without the hard drive - aka XBOX 360 S 4gb for the $100.00 promo. HOwever, when checking out, the system would not let the manager give the $100 promo and the "pick a game" promo. When ever both would apply, the price would jump back up.

Kept the box sealed and I am waiting to see what I am going to do with this thing...

You're talking 8-12 months of waiting. That seems crazy. Is there absolutely nothing on the XB1 that interests you? Personally, I think you'd get wrecked by missing out on releases over another 8-12 months. You're already behind on some nice stuff Forza, Sunset Overdrive, Halo), and you'd miss Quantum Break in 2 weeks, which looks great. Waiting again would probably put you past the release dates of Halo Wars 2, Gears 4, Crackdown, and maybe Scalebound. So, it depends on what you're looking forward to.

I'm glad I got my XB1 when I did (spring 2014). It let me get through the stuff I missed (somewhat) over the summer, while waiting for the late-year stuff (Mordor, TMCC, Sunset, etc.).

The main promo info says ANY slim. The slim 160 will be fine, though the fat won't.

I haven't traded in a while, so i have a question.

If I return the system, will they subtract the promo credit? Or will I receive the whole retail amount of the xbox?

i dont care for halo or forza but i'll take sunset overdrive.

i got Ryse, Gears of War, and Rise of Tomber Raider to play. its just that i feel like there would be some kind of a killer deal later this year that i must buy. than i may end up with 2 xbox ones ... lol i just cant pass up a good deal.

ok well reading ur post i feel like i should keep this one. and IF a killer black friday deal comes up.. i'll just buy another xbox one. oh well.

not to mention all those x1 games from GWG i got stacked up. it'll keep me quite busy.

Why would you buy a second console though? I mean, a Black Friday deal might match this and add a free game or something. This seems like something aiming to get Quantum Break a bigger shot at sales by sending more hardware to households with deals, IMO. But, like I said, imagine if you waited another 8 months until BF. You'd be in the middle of a bunch of more exclusives. I don't see how you'd have time for all of the games. Take this time to burn through Ryse. Sunset Overdrive is a load of fun, but only about 25 hours (that was for me to get 1000 GS, too). Quantum Break is about to hit as well. You shouldn't want for entertainment through 2016, that's for sure.

Thinking of taking my PS3 to my nearby store sometime this weekend. Will they care if I only have an HDMI cable? I misplaced the original A/V cables a while ago.
