OK.
I have been playing Star Wars Battlefront for some time now and am looking for ways to improve.
My main focus is doing the main objective, but my k/d ratio is at best 3/1 and nearly ever game I play I have the lowest number of kills and the highest number of deaths (ex: 3/30).
For those of you saying "Wow! You just suck!" I already know that and am wanting to improve.
I have tried different load-outs, watching how to videos and trying to implement the tips, and it is not a matter of just playing more. I am almost at lvl 49.
Oh, and I have high speed internet with hard wire connection through Ethernet over power, and still have an issue with having a weapon with highest damage, hitting the opponent many times and they just turn and hit me once or twice while I am at full health and I die. Most irritating.

Any ideas appreciated.

If your goal is to focus on objective based gameplay, your K/D shouldn't matter...in fact in SW:BF I really don't care about K/D because of how the game play is setup.

Without watching you play a match or 12, the one biggest improvement to my gameplay and performance experience was playing in 3rd person.

The expanded field of vision was so helpful when playing that it upped my K/D by a lot. I was winning more CQC encounters simply because I knew someone was nearby vs. wondering how the heck I'm being shot at w/out seeing who's shooting at me. While some ppl say you lose out on the experience when you play in 3rd person, try it out...you may be surprised.

The one down side however for 3rd person view is you aren't as sneaky as you see on screen. Something you think you're heading behind an object or hugging a wall but actually 1/2 of your body is clearly visible to someone aiming their sights on you for the kill.

Other recommendations is find a gun you like and own it. I usually run Jetpack and the homing rocket, one of the tricks I use for homing rocket is start to lock onto a target, then don't fire because they will panic and usually jetpack...then you can relock and get a kill for certain since they have no way of evading after that.

I haven't played this game since PVZ:GW2 came out so I don't know how changes may reflect my suggestions.

Hope that helps and may the force be with you.

K/D ratio 1.11 here.

IMHO: One technique is aiming always at the "hole", it means: doorways, or where the enemy must appears. try to anticipate the aim to the next enemy movement.
