wow, thnx op got vanilla over xmas for cheap so this makes it worth it.

I didn't know this existed before today. I had to buy it. Jason, Leatherface, Alien, and Predator? This is basically Christmas to me. I've been watching all of the fatalities on youtube. Too much fun. 

 
Does this code have everything that was included in the MK XL physical version?

XL Pack grants access to both Kombat Pack 1 and 2, as well as nearly all previously released digital content. XL Pack includes 9 playable characters, 25 character skins, and 2 previously released Klassic Fatality packs. The most komplete pack of MKX add-on content available.

Got it, thanks OP. First time checking out, it wasn't working, "encountered a problem etc". Tried again and it went through.

 
Anybody else have their order cancelled? Says my PayPal transaction did not go through but I suspect it was really a pricing error as it does show the transaction (now reversed) on my PP account.

Hmmm...not sure but if it was an error they still haven't fixed it.

And Tenchi, yep, that's how it works. You can always buy DLC whether you have a game or not and it'll be there when you do get the game.

This code does in fact change mortal combat x to the newer version. The loading screen even says xl. After redemption in game you need to add the downloads and then they are available. Awesome deal after the black Friday purchase with gcu. Thanks OP.
