Best Buy: Homefront: The Revolution: Exclusive SteelBook Edition $59.99 ($47.99 with GCU) Plus $10 Gift Card

It won't let me use an RZ cert at checkout.

Does anyone know if I select store pickup, will they still charge me full price or can I pay at the register on release day and use my cert in-store?

After playing the beta, the only way I'll preorder this game is if they include a console with it as a preorder bonus. And a TV. And an extra controller. And a year of Xbox Live. And the season pass. And they have to keep the game and the season pass. And not charge me any money for any it.

Actually, even then I probably wouldn't.

Hmmmm... this basically boils down to what I think the GS TIV will open at for this game.  If it is $25 base at release then you could play and trade it toward Doom for the 50% bump and essentially only lose a couple bucks while keeping the Steelbook.  :whistle2:k

It's a 30+ hour campaign, so keep that in mind. It's not a turn n burn game, you'll have to put some decent time into it if you plan on beating it.

I just watched the first hour of the game on YouTube, some dude was running it on his PC and it was chugging along at a horrendous 15FPS clip. The shit looked sickening. If a decent PC can't handle it, I'm terrified of how it'll perform on consoles.

If the game is that bad, there will be a price drop. The first one was really short and it wasnt bad. Price dropped quick if I remember correctly.

You should be able to use RZ certs if you do it through the mobile site.

This deal will almost assuredly show up in store anyways.  They always do.

Well, I'd go cancel my existing order and make a new one, though the existing order is in Prepaing Shipping status. :wall:

Emailed BB CS to see what they could do with my existing order.

So it's basically 27.99 + tax right? How bad of a gamble can that be?

*37.99, for some reason I assumed this preorder included the 500 point reward cert.

I really want to get this game, but I'm desperately waiting for someone's impressions or review for the PS4 version.

I know Colin from Kinda Funny was supposed to play it a few weeks ago, but they wanted him to play on PC (despite how much trash he talks about it) and they couldn't even get it to run. Hopefully that's just another Arkham Knight incident where it runs great on console but not on PC, but for now I'm cautiously waiting for news about the quality of the game.

The original Home front sold very well at launch. It was just like Aliens. Millions.
Honestly I liked the original homefront and had a lot of fun with it. This new one looks totally different so not sure how much I'll enjoy it though. May buy just so I have something to play until overwatch

It was a beta, have an open mind dude. :/

I absolutely HATED the Rainbow Six Siege beta but gave it a chance because of good reviews. I've now spent 100+ hours with it and still can't stop playing it. I'm not saying this won't be trash, but I'm hopeful.

Pre order for instore pickup, if reviews really are horrible then don't pick it up. That's my plan anyways.

"betas" these days are really just demos, I've never played one that was drastically different from the final product

curious what you think changed between the Siege beta and its full release

That's what I'm thinking of doing. My only thing is I'm trying not to buy games upon their release, especially judging by the developers of this one. I can totally see it dropping to $40 in a month or two, but at the same time, I haven't been this excited for a game that I know nothing about since The Division, and with the $10 gift card added, I feel like it's too good to pass up.

This. Other recent examples in addition to Siege: The Division, Star Wars Battlefront, CoD: Black Ops 3, Destiny, Battleborn...

Don't listen to what developers say about a beta being an "outdated build." None of the recent betas were different from the game release (minus minor tweaks to weapon damage, etc.).

Exact same situation I'm in. My copy "shipped" this morning. Hopefully they'll match it. All they have to be willing to do is acknowledge that I could just place another order and return my original if I wanted to. Don't make me do that, Best Buy. Just be decent about it.

Yeah, most of the time when they say things like that it's just a tacit admission that the game is shitty.

I'm tempted to just get it on PS4 and trade it in but I think should wait for steam winter sale when this should be 10 bucks.

I emailed them about it and had a response in a few hours. They'll send me out a gift card in 10-15 business days and gave me a reference # for that being done. No need to refuse it for delivery or return it in-store.

What's confusing? It's a case made of metal instead of plastic, usually with nicer looking art.
I guess those just don't matter much to me. I prefer digital versions, but I usually put my discs in a CD case and the plastic covers away in a closet.

Yup, got the same as well. Really happy about that since that gift card will go right to paying for Mirror's Edge: Catalyst. Good work, Best Buy. Doing the right thing encourages people to spend more money...something a lot of businesses could learn.

I decided to pre-order two copies for PS4, so the wife and I can co-op. I had no idea the campaign was supposed to be that lengthy and the co-op looks fun.

The steelbook and $10 gc pushed me over the edge.

I'm guessing no one has review copies, which is why none of the big outlets have done much coverage, but there is one fan review for the PS4 version that says the game is not very good, citing reasons such as poor graphics, unstable FPS and poor shooting.

I think I'm going to hold off until official reviews hopefully come in on Monday.

Well, it's not like I can't just return them if it turns out to be a disaster.

I pre-ordered this last night, but I'm not planning on picking it up until after I hear some reviews about the game and if the patch solves any issues.

But I also just got the notification that my gift card has been shipped. What do I have to do in the event that I decide I don't want the game? Do I return the gift card too?
