Password problem.

I have an issue, I cant remember my password and the email address I registered to this site with I guess is gone due to lack of activity I dont know but I cant log into it, it doesnt seem to be there.

The only reason I can get on here is because chrome has my pass saved, but I cant even find it in chromes saved password list.

So I am kind of stuck. I didnt even realize any of this till I reset my phone and when I tried to log in at work from my phone I had to re-sign back in on it but couldnt.

Anything I can do? Or am I just stuck?

I'm not an admin/mod, but I'll try to provide some helpful information for your predicament.

I'm very familiar with this kind of problem. And, fortunately or unfortunately (depending on your point of view), there's only 1 course of action that can alleviate that problem. That is to contact a Forum Admin and ask them to manually reset your password.

There are only 2 forum admins here on CAG that I know of. There's the main forum admin CheapyD who owns/runs the site, and then there's John the admin in charge of site programming.

Contacting either might take some time, and I'm not too sure that John can even reset passwords. But, if you wanted my opinion, I'd try to contact him first since he's the programming admin. Then, if you can't get in touch with him, reach out to CheapyD.

Id forgotten I made this post and just saw it. Ill send john an email first and see if he responds.

 
Well its been a while since I sent the PM but no response, so Ill try cheapy and see if it does me any good.

Looks like I may to just make a new account and start over.

 
Well if someone has any ideas let me know. I messaged cheapy and john twice each but heard nothing back and over a month later I give up

 
Sorry for posting here but rather not make a new topic simply for this question but, where do we change password after reset?? I go to edit profile and password and email but there is nothing about changing password there, except some local password for mobile thing.

Have you tried refreshing the "email and password" page and deleting your cache?

I ask because that page is where you should be able to set a new password.

Hey, I just realized a potential variable that might be the problem.

Are you visiting on a mobile device, or on the mobile version of the site?

Thanks for trying to look into this, but Im on PC, not mobile version of anything.

edit: I am quite baffled. Curious, does your screen not look like mine? It has a password change box?
