Just thought I would post this in case some people weren't aware of it. This comes out tomorrow (5/17) and is only $30 before Prime or GCU discounts. If you preorder, you get a beautiful Squad 7 Armored case. However, this bonus could end up being pretty limited as the Best Buy product page no longer mentions this as a preorder bonus. I had preordered through Best Buy and already received mine. I've never played this before but I'm loving it so far! Definitely a great deal!

The preorder button may be there on Best Buy, but it's been sold out for awhile. If you try to preorder it will add to cart but you can not check out.
 
Just preordered on Amazon.  Without a bonus preorder cert at BB, picking it up from Amazon is a no brainer.  Steel case looking good too.  

 
Is the steelbook standard? I have a copy on pre-order from Best Buy it should arrive today or tomorrow, no mention of the pre-order bonus when I ordered it though. 

 
Are we sure that all first print copies dont automatically come with the steelbook? I dont think its a separate item...

I pre-ordered it on the 14th after canning an Amazon pre-order and had it ship this morning, so I guess "been sold out for a while" may have been a while back, as it's still showing as orderable on BB.com.

Try again?

oh, i didn't even think about that. you're probably right though since it's not a separate item. i wonder how many they will make with this case?

also, there's a strong possibility they might do something with the other games in the series. on the overview tab for this game on ps4, there's a survey by them and at the end they say something along the lines of "we know you're taking this survey because you really want the other games too". lol

Still show up for me too. It's only available for shipping, which I believe has always been the case.

Wait until late tonight / early tomorrow morning, which should unlock the in-store pickup options once the release date hits tomorrow. Day before release date on an item, the in-store pickup options get disabled on BB.com for reasons that make no sense to me. Overnight tonight, maybe starting around 12:30AM CT to early in the morning, it should allow for in-store pickup again.

 
I could have sworn if you pre-ordered with prime you are suppose to get release day delivery. Hmmm I had my pre-order since April.

& with overwatch on the Horizon... gah... :whistle2:x

 
you can youtube the gameplay trailer, it's not exactly a new game. 

Unless collecting the steelbook/metalpak is a priority, you can always hold out for a sale. 

 
Going to Walmart or Best Buy at midnight would've been a no brainier of I didn't have this Amazon double discount. Prime release day delivery hasn't been happening for too many times this past year

Um, it's amazing. The style is absolutely stunning, and the music is just... beautiful.

Please buy this game, everyone. I bought it on PS3, Steam, and it's preordered on PS4, too. Can't wait to play it again, which is something I don't usually say about titles I've already played.

I'm really looking forward to it. I played the game when it came out on PS3 when it came out, but only briefly and have always wanted to go back and play it and now I will have this snazzy PS4 remaster to play!

The button to preorder is still there. Once you try to check out the item is removed from your cart and it says it's sold out. Just tried again with the same result.

Ah, I didn't go that far since I already pre-ordered it. The same thing happened to me with the Deadpool steelbook last week though, I was able to end up ordering one for in-store pick up though.

 
I had no idea you could get this from best buy. I thought it was an amazon exclusive. Damn, missing out on sweet delicious points. But I got a copy.

This is one of the best jrpgs on the PS3. Get off the fence.

There's no game you can compare it to since no other game has done the gameplay quite like vallyria chronicles.

I wasn't planning on buying this right away, but when someone says "Last chance" in a thread, for some reason I can't click the "buy" button fast enough.

I had to contact Amazon. Same thing happened to me, even though though the Product Page said you could still get Release Day delivery up until yesterday.

 
Got this paid in full at Gamestop.  Going to pick it up in the late morning. 

If this pre-order is gutted just like my last pre-order, even when I pick it up on this release day.  I'm going to knock over the magazine rack and throw glitter everywhere.

Not really since ghost recon is just a normal tactics game. You don't control the characters aiming or movement outside of a standard grid.

Both valkyria and steam let you move somewhat freely and you control the aim of the characters which has a big impact on critical hits and overall accuracy.
