Free OnePlus Loop VR Headset ($5 shipping)

I'm still using the original One Plus One.  I managed to get one of these - it appears to be compatible with most 5"-6" phones.

Thanks for posting the link!

So is this legit?  I've heard people ordering free ones and never getting them.  Don't want to be the guy to order one for $5 and not get one.

The site may be getting pummeled  at the moment.  I can't back that up with any factual data.

I know you know how to read - just be sure to change the country code/abbreviation in the purchase link. Some people were saying that Chrome wasn't working for them. It worked fine for me.

Keep trying!

Just ordered one.  Looks fairly nice, certainly compared to cardboard viewers.  Figured I'll take the $5 chance.

Plus, realistically, I ain't never getting that boat-themed cardboard VR thingie from the yacht company.

Just pretend it comes with bundle trash and roll the dice!

I've no idea if it's legit but the comments on the website certainly make it seem as though people have been following the company and using previous iterations with cardboard viewers. Looked real enough to try it.

I just ordered a second one with no problems.  Weird.

I hope they don't cancel my orders as I was merely doing this for science.

Strange. Went through flawless for me. Even gave a list of likely options when I entered my street address and auto-filled the city/state/zip fields for me.
Yeah it was doing that for me too for mobile. I went to my computer and worked fine there.

Thanks OP.  Just ordered one and the account confirmation email never came through but I refreshed and was able to order.

No problem. I have a OnePlus One as well and it's the best phone I've ever had. Thinking about upgrading to the 3 if the price is right.

I got one earlier, although Paypal gave an authorization error on the first one and trying to reauthorize it gave a sql error on the OnePlus website about it not being able to insert a duplicate line into some table in their database.  Made a new order and it went through fine.

Supposedly there's tiny amounts going back into stock as some pending payments fail but I can't imagine spamming F5 will be the best use of your time.

Opera browser + auto refresh extension and put the window in the corner of your desktop. ;)

Thanks for not knowing how to read and bumping the thread to get our hopes up.
I got an email from the boat company the other day saying someone would contact me about buying a yacht. They never sent me my cardboard VR thingie though. That's no way to sell boats! :shame:

I got an email today saying it shipped.  Tracking number shows the label is created but hasn't physically shipped.

I got mine today. Seems pretty cool, although I heard it's valued at $99 which seems ridiculous. Also, I'm using an LG G5 (2016 phone) to run some VR apps and the frame rate seems kind of bad. Made me feel a little sick. Not bad for $5 though.

Mine should be arriving later today. I'm a bit exited for it but I can't shake the feeling that I might be a bit disappointed. If so, I might just post it on ebay.

Judging from your avatar I am sure you will put these to good use, but please don't list them on ebay without disinfecting them first.

It's okay. It's not amazing and I'd hoped the lenses would adjust better but it's certainly worth the five bucks as a toy. It's essentially a Cardboard with much nicer build quality.

Ha, yeah I already checked ebay prices and they are selling fairly high but I don't think I will list mine. The quality is definitely not as high as they appear to be. The plastic is nice and they hold my 5X securely while I shift it around to cure the double vision. The straps are also nice. The lenses are probably the best you are going to find in the cardboard level headset. I'm curious if the Gear VR provides a larger FOV. I would hope so.

I'll keep this around for now, but it mostly just makes me want to be able to try out a Rift/OR/PSVR even more.

Just got mine. Most disappointing thing is the lack of any buttons. You'll have to set up the player before sticking your phone in.

Yeah, the initial imagery made it look more like the Samsung Gear but that actually connects to the phone and can be controlled via the headset itself. Given that the Gear is $100, this thing sure as heck ain't a $100 headset. I'd call it $20-$25, not so much because I'd want to spend $25 for one but because people manage to sell Cardboard knockoffs for $5-$8 bucks so this should get something for the straps, plastic and foam.

Did it take a lot of strap adjusting for yall to get this to fit well? It is putting a lot of its weight on my nose. I need it to tilt up a bit. I've been playing with the straps but no luck so far.
