That's the real scam lol

If this isn't sarcasm then you truly have no idea how hard it is for them to run a website as massive as Ebay.

10% is still an obscene amount. With the amount of transaction they handle the most it should cost is 5%. Discount for major haul sellers. This is not including paypal fees which Ebay also owns.

Lol your picture. If you traded in towards doom or uncharted 4, you get 50% extra credit. trade in Base value (25) x 1.6 = 40 if you're a pro member and 25 x 1.5 = 37.5 if not a pro member. The promo ended though

weekly sale, not 4 day sale

My mistake. When I clicked the Memorial Day weekend sale deal on the front page, they showed up underneath the Video Game deals.

You can't expect armchair analysts to understand things like overhead and shareholder value.

eBay + PayPal fees = 13%

I don't give a Fuck how hard t is to run the site, that's 13 fucking percent of all your sales. Plus shipping if you offer free ship to sell more items.

For the longest time they double dipped but Paypal and eBay separated awhile ago.

Maybe they haven't been introduced to the real world yet?

Anyone know of any 10% off coupons or the sku for the 2x reward points? Had to make a large appliance purchase last minute over the weekend and forgot about getting one of these beforehand.

Wow, just browsed this thread for a minute and saw all these blast-from-the-past usernames. Flipping times indeed...

I just saw the first page and since I've been playing Dark Souls III I thought I might pick up DS 2 on the Xbox (I played it on the PS3 originally). But even though I came really close to qualifying for Elite or whatever Best Buy calls it, they didn't give it to me and shipping kills the deal. The game doesn't appear to be in any stores either. Oh well - I'll find another sale and it was only $5 off anyway.

I haven't done much flipping even for trade-in credit in a few years now. I did, however, clean out my office closet and I found TONS of old Best Buy penny guides that I will never use at this point. I am trying to sell a few of those just to free up space, but this is probably the worst time to try doing that.

And what about the bad transactions they cover. I once had a student back out of over $600 in a class they already took. Paypal (back when they were combined) sided with the student after already sending me payment, said i owed paypal the amount. I closed the account and opened a new account under a different email. I taught a class to the guys family, had expenses, paypal decided to let the guy screw me so i let them cover it. Anyway, also paypal is nothing compared to amazon. To sell through amazon, they want 15%, listing fees and will not let you adjust shipping even if it costs you three or four times the actual shipping. If people dont want to pay the 10%, they can sell on craigslist

As long as you order while the sale is live, you'll pay that price, regardless of form of payment.

Can't tell if you're for or against ebay but either way I still fucking hate ebay and will continue to use it for easy sales.

Really eBay isn't horrible as long as you know how to play the system and avoid scammers. It comes out to 10% FVF and 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction on paypal and you get free insertions for 50 listings a month with free listing promotions boosting that pretty frequently which is a hell off a lot better in comparison to a lot of places. The only things I specifically don't like about eBay is the complete lack of seller protection and the fact that they are charging final value fees on shipping. If they were honestly doing this to curb scammers inflating their shipping costs to avoid fees then they could easily adjust the final sale total to subtract shipping when purchasing labels through them as opposed to screwing everyone for a boost in profits :P. Also their constant need to Fuck with the seller rules/rating system is also a turn off as well as the fact that the site runs like balls quite frequently.

Well I resisted buying Lego Dimensions, despite being a huge Lego fan when I was younger.

My P4DAN regular came in today and it's the launch edition with Vita skin + wallpapers. Nice little bonus even if I'll never use it.
