The game has to be quite excellent or part of a series I collect for to get me to put up with the wait for a physical copy from LRG. As long as I feel strongly that I won't lose interest before the game shows up... I'll still buy from LRG. But there are other factors too, like far too often it's not the final game on the cart (I mainly buy Switch games)... so there's always some kind of patch and then that patch might not be available for weeks to another month or more after the physical version comes out. So more waiting. Golf Story really burned me to the point that I just couldn't even finish the game.

Right now, I have no outstanding orders with them and it's probably going to stay that way for a while because of how picky I've gotten on what I will play and want to collect physically. But if they get something I'm 100% down for, I'll buy it. Though I only buy standard edition games (unless there is no other option).

I'm in the same boat as you as I don't have any pending orders. I mainly buy PS4 games but totally understand the issue of getting games that are complete, without the need for major patches.

Like you, I will only order games I have a big interest in. Even then, though, I try to add an extra requirement, which is that it's a game that's been out for a long while (i.e., patched and unlikely to have any further content). I know that involves a judgment call as you never really can know, but I try to answer the question before I order.

I'm surprised they let this happen again so soon after the Doom situation.

I'm not.

Did they even ever respond about Doom?  I don't see anything.  I know they have refunded people who complained through their support site, but it does not look good that they haven't made any kind of announcement.  Even if they plan to do nothing, at least be up front about it.

I used to think people were overreacting when calling them shady, but they sure have had a string of questionable actions....

They have not responded and Josh/Doug have blocked people who messaged them about it.

To my knowledge, they've never acknowledged any of their follies on the main LRG account. I imagine the perception is it would hurt future prospective sales and so they just sweep it under the rug and wait for it to blow over.

How long should I wait to contact LRG if I have a multi-game order that hasn't shipped even though all the games are ready and have been shipped to other people, including in other multi game orders? It's been three weeks since the last game started shipping. Assuming poor logistical control in the LRG warehouse is the reason.

If they've finished shipping the last game single copy and multi-copy orders... I would think yours would be in the final complex order group.  Though it's possible they wait and do a day or two of processing complex orders and it just hasn't happened yet.

You might as well open a ticket and ask.

I think they acknowledged that Shiren 5 debacle... maybe.  It seems like I've seen them acknowledge something once.  I think it was a case where they sold such a small number of copies they could afford to not care and just be honest, even though I would have thought it would have been cheaper to just tell the customers up front.  I guess they were going all in on people never opening those (that was the one where they left out the GAME entirely).

They've made some comments from their personal Twitter accounts, yes, but they've never made an "official" statement on their site, social media, etc. Earlier today Josh and Doug were both posting on Reddit via their personal accounts about the Crysis thing (which is apparently only an issue in specific circumstances and can be fixed via patch config on the eShop backend).

I also wouldn't call the interactions they did have on Shiren particularly good or professional, but a lot of that ended up getting deleted.

I legit had no idea there was an AVGN game... is it any good? I used to love him back in the day, no clue why I stopped watching.

It's very old school, like a Mega Man type platformer/shooter.  The first game was notoriously difficult, but for the sequel, and also for this remaster, they have added in selectable difficulty levels.  It's well worth playing if you're a fan of AVGN or retro style platformers.

I bought the fan bundle like an idiot.  That's how into Castlevania I am.  I wonder if I'll still be alive to ever see it and what condition those CEs will be in when they pack them all together.

I would bet it pops up at Best Buy soon....

I'm still shocked at how little coverage LRG's problems have gotten. I don't follow any major internet personalities but I'd think SOMEONE would be a LRG customer and cover the issues.

I'm starting to suspect that LRG lies when they say they only order a certain amount of units per game. Because if they weren't then they wouldn't have so many left over games for cons and holiday sales.

They have been very transparent that they hold at least 10% back for issues with orders and cons.

To add to Sephiroth's note, they're also forced by Nitnendo to order in quantities of 1,000 and I believe by Sony to order in quantities of 100. So if a game gets 6,201 pre-orders on the Switch they have to order 7k and end up having lots of extra inventory for cons/replacements/blowout sales/etc.

Did LRG recently begin charging sales tax out of state? I was about to put in a last second pre-order for Mushihimesama but with tax and shipping a $40 game is now $50.
