He's also Cave Johnson in Portal 2 and they mayor lion in Zootopia.

But they better bring him back as JJJ in the next Spidey movie.

Thankfully they don't give away the entire plot (or, in the case of JL, Steppenwolf). While the trailers aren't perfect, they are still pretty good.

I will say I hope the slow motion in the Wonder Woman trailer is not in the final film. I hate slow motion in movies.

Also not a big fan of Cyborg's design, but his design is surprisingly hard to make legit, so I'm not all that angry about it.

I'm heading out to see an advance screening of Suicide Squad tonight. Can't pass up a free movie.

More thoughts tomorrow when I have time at work but basically: Don't spend the insane amount of money for IMAX 3D or even 3D. Weekend matinee for $5-6 at most, they kind of failed on a story/character build throughout. You see moments of okay they have something, then they'd neuter it.

More Notes, going to spoiler it though there aren't any movie spoilers in it. Also I'll stop stinking up the Justice League thread with Suicide Squad items.

Overall
After thinking about it, it's definitely not the worst movie I've ever seen but it's not a good movie by any stretch of the imagination. The opening 30 minutes could've been pared down or moved around to later in the movie to better identify the characters instead of an upfront "Here they are, aren't they quirky but don't you just want to root for them." bit.
Joker
I can't say that this is the worst Joker intepretation as there isn't enough of him in the movie to really determine that. He was in it so little it's hard to determine if it's the worst. The clips of Joker from the trailers accounts for almost 40% of his entire screen time in the movie. There isn't enough meat there to say much about his interpretation other than it's very different to what we've seen.
Best Character(s)
Honestly I'm torn between Viola Davis' Amanda Waller and Jay Hernandez' Diablo. Diablo had somewhat of a character arc to follow and I was actually invested in his character and motivations. Viola played Waller great minus a pretty big stumble in my eyes at the end, but that was writing of the character not the portrayal of the character. The character is a little flat but it works for that kind of character and I enjoyed when she was on-screen.
Wasted/Worst Character(s)
So Katana was pretty much a useless part of the film. Take that character out and minus a little item at the end, has no effect and that end item could've easily been moved around with some easy edits. The worst character had to be Deadshot and I think with a proper actor who could actually show some emotional presence he would've been a great character. Will Smith just can't do that.

Ending
I'm not sure if this is where reshoots came in but I wouldn't be surprised. This story of these types of characters should be expected to end a certain way. It didn't and I think that was a big missed opportunity.

This hasn't turned me off of the future Justice League or Wonder Woman movies, but it hasn't helped their cause any. Wonder Woman looks like it could be the first really good movie they've done. Granted that's based on a short trailer but it hits what you would expect out of a movie with her in it.

That's funny. I thought
Killer Kroc
was the most wasted character in the movie. Remove
him
and absolutely nothing would change.

I didn't like the movie, but I did like Deadshot, Waller, and Diablo (when they finally decided to focus on him). Harley had her moments, but I think she was too hit or miss for me to enjoy her as much as I was hoping to.

Suicide Squad was better than any Fantastic Four movie, The Wolverine or Green Lantern but worse than most other superhero movies.  For what was pretty much a buddy movie (the Big Bad was essentially a McGuffin for the Squad to exist) only Robbie & Smith showed any degree of chemistry.  I thought Robbie was easily the best part of the movie, Smith was a distant second, Diablo third and the rest basically forgettable.  Sword Girl was a complete waste of film time and all her parts could have been cut without changing the movie at all.  The film had some of the worst editing I've seen in ages and was an overstuffed and largely incoherent mess.

Jared Leto's Joker sucked.  It wasn't the tattoos or grill or any of that (not that that helped any) but it just looked like Leto pretending to be the Joker.  Completely unconvincing and a far cry from threatening or any sort of maniacal genius.

Save your money (luckily, our tickets were free) and see it at the discount last-chance theater or wait for the home version.

I would be surprised if there were deleted scenes, because it feels like this movie used everything they shot.

They could have easily cut 30-45 minutes and Suicide Squad would be better.

I finally got to watch the Suicide Squad and I enjoyed it. I didn't think it was bad as the critic made it out to be. It does have some editing issues and it does feel like some part of the movie tone was off during some sequence. Probably because of the re-shoot they did.

There are major scenes cut, tons of stuff with the Joker, actual interaction between him and the squad, stuff that actually kinda gives Katana something to do, etc. not sure it would have made it better, but you can tell this was edited to pieces when they replay the same story beats multiple times in the movie (he most obvious being a needlessly repeated scene with Flag and Enchantress).
