Using Walmart gift card online

So I haven't bought anything from Walmart in a while, but I had a gift card laying around so I thought I'd buy an eShop card. But when I get to the checkout process my only options for payment are credit card, PayPal or Visa checkout. At no point am I given the opportunity to pay with a gift card. Is there something I'm missing? Do gift cards work online for everyone else?

Walmart does not allow gift cards as a payment option for buying "eShop" items.
