$10 GC with Grocery purchase is the best thing, and it's a great thing!  Hope they combine it with 12-packs on sale again!

The X-Wing is the same one they gave away for free at TRU in a LEGO Star Wars event many months ago, for reference.

There was a price mistake at Target yesterday morning that made them $50 in store. Got fixed really quickly. That's about the only good deal you'll see at Target for a while lol.

At least now we can get the Nitro vehicles and the special versions of Skylanders for slightly cheaper. Since they never work with the Cartwheel coupons.

Since this ad is full of fail, and this topic has no use at the moment, let me hijack it for a moment to ask you something. Are you responsible for this?

Don't know about 12 packs, but checked the 6 pack mountain dews while at work and they'll be on sale through next week at least.

How sad is that, the best deal on a video game website, is a grocery gift card? VERY!
Bravo, Target!

Thanks!  Checked thecouponingcouple.com, and they have next week's ad up.  12 packs are on sale 4/$10.  Even better than the sale they had a week ago.  Nice! :D

20 x 12-packs = $50 and get a $10 GC on top of that

OR

20 x 12-packs = $50 *.95 (RedCard) = $47.50, so buy something else for $2.64 (remember 5% comes off with RedCard) and get a $10 GC.

12-pack GoGo squeeZ applesauce is also in the ad at $5.99 and get a $5 Gift Card with 3, so my shopping trip will probably be ...

16 x 12-pack soda = $40

3 x 12-pack applesauce = $17.97

($40 + $17.97) * 0.95 = $55.07 + tax and get $15 in Gift Cards at the same time

Groceries!

Oh, and by the way, the X-wing with LEGO Star Wars: TFA from Target is not the same one as TRU gave away.  The Target one is a little bigger but still not the fancy big one.

The gift card deal is a coupon so you actually don't have to take the red card into account.

Oh, so minimum purchase requirements for coupons are determined prior to RedCard discounts.  Good to know.  Thanks!

Yeah the Red Card discount applies after the sale is completed. As long as you scan the coupon for the $10 gift card first you can still apply other coupons to the purchase as well and get the total well below $50.

Example
$50 for 20 12packs
Scan coupon for $10 gift card
Use 4 coupons for 12 packs $3 off for total of $12 off
Total ($38 +tax) - 5% redcard and $10 gift card back.
Worth noting some states apply tax before coupons are taken off.
Just important that the $10 off of $50 is the first coupon scanned

Yeah for any of these "threshold" kind of deals (Spend $XX get $XX gift card), target coupons, manufacturer coupons, Cartwheel, and REDcard all are factored in after your reach $50, so long as you have them scan the gift card coupon first.

In regards to game sales at Target: not to sound like a broken record but they aren't a games retailer. They are a department store, with their primary focus in the last decade being grocery. They never have been a games retailer in any sense. Target is a great place to save money on grocery/toiletries if you know how to work the coupons and their housewares stuff is well designed at a fair price. They have cute clothes too that again, are at a fair price. But game sales are few and far between, especially if you have GCU at Best Buy. I think people just don't get that though. The ad is posted here most weeks for informational purposes ("yup, no deals this week") but it's not like Target is aggressively going after the frugally minded gamer such as all of us here on CAG.

For as smart and savvy some of these couponers are that go to Target to save on grocery and toiletries they are also the type that will pay full price for a videogame. Wander over yo the Electronics section during holiday shopping. There's droves of people/parents overpaying for stuff. Literally like 4 times last year I overheard people discussing what they were about to purchase and said "psssst, price match that to [Amazon, Best Buy, etc.]." How many people paid full price when I wasn't there to help them though? Target doesn't "try" as you guys say because they don't need to. Not in Gaming at least.

Sorry to bother you, but what is the $3 off coupon?

Might've been just an example, but next week's ad does require a Cartwheel add-on coupon to get to 4/$10 12-packs.  3/$10 without Cartwheel added in.

Anyone do the 12pack of soda deal?   on sale for 3/$10 plus 25% off cartwheel and then $10 off 50.    Sounds like a super good deal but I think in the end it comes down to $2 per 12 pack.    Is that right?    If so, not really worth it to me to buy in bulk when you can get local supermarket brands for $2.50/12pack
