Dead Island Definitive Collection (Does not include Riptide code) $19.99 (PS4) used at Gamestop

CAGiversary!
Came across this today, did a search and didn't notice any posts.  PS4 is the only version that is $19.99, Xbone is still $35.49.  As others have posted, Riptide is only accessed via a code that comes with the game, so used copies may not have it included.  So YMMV on your copy including Riptide.  No longer available online, store pick up only.

that's a good price but doesn't the ps4 version only have the first dead island on disc and the rest of the collection are codes? i haven't bought anything from GS in a while so not sure if they give you the codes with used copies of games or not. anyone know?

Correct. This is Dead Island 1 only.

There's a slim chance you would get an unused code slip with it.

Anyone know how the retro revenge game in this collection is accessed?  Hopefully not another code... but I couldn't find anything about it.

I put one of these on hold at GS, as part of one of my B2G1 batches, however it doesn't seem worth it without Riptide, I've already beaten Dead Island on PC.

Wow, did not know this. I was thinking on BB sale of the game but question about it when I didn't do much in the original and never touched the sequel. but this make me don't want to game now. I might as well wait for a PSN sale instead.

Because Sony has set up PS4 as an inferior platform in regards to games like this.
its weird since they obviously knew ahead of time that the ps4 would be remaster heaven (or hell, depending on opinions). though i do wonder what the difference is for metro redux and the uncharted collection.

From what I understand the game has to have a menu built into the disc for launching each individual game.

They can't just have it function as a installer disc and ownership check like on XBO.

Metro Redux has a menu. Pretty sure Borderlands does also. I remember when it was announced that is was just a code. The devs got destroyed on their twitter site. They kept saying they couldn't do it because of limitations. Then people would ask why other games have menus but you say it's not possible. The devs finally ran out of excuses and backed away from the arguement.

Pure laziness

PSA: The Retro Revenge is HOT GARBAGE!!! I thought it was going to be like a beat'em up Double Dragon style...instead its kinda like an endless runner with button mashing. Played and deleted in about 10 minutes. Very disappointing.
