Really wonder if Shipwreck would have called Wombat on XIII = 13 rather than 8, especially after the whole Miz Pac Man thing.

At E3 when I went to see Attack on Titan and Nioh I told the PR Guy how much people on CAG love Koei Tecmo games and Japanese anime games in general and told him about contests for the CAG twitter. After the Persona 5 bag got so much attention I showed him I wasn't exaggerating so chances of seeing Koei Tecmo contests whenever they have a game released from now on is likely.

I still remember waiting in a line for 7ish minutes next to sweaty dudes who had cosplay booth babes manually put the backpack on them to waste time thinking "This bag better pay off." I just grabbed the bag, put it in my real bag and took off. Looks like it did pay off.

I only know Slomin's Shield due to that catchy jingle.

Thanks for the heads up about Canary cameras. You should get them to sponsor the show. Several podcasts I listen to are sponsored by SimpliSafe from time to time. My wife and I have been looking at getting that security system. You just buy the equipment outright for $200-500 depending on how many sensors and gadgets you want in the system. Then if you want to you can pay $0/month and it just acts as a super loud alarm system, or you can pay $15 a month for the service and then it will alert police or whomever if someone is breaking into your place. You should get SimpliSafe to sponsor the CAGcast and get us a discount code. The whole system is wireless except for the main hub which you just plug into an outlet and put in some central spot in your house. The monthly thing has no contract either so you can cancel it whenever you want. Its like the netflix of home security.

SimpliSafe doesn't offer any cameras so it seems like a SimpliSafe security system mixed with a Canary camera would be a good combo.

I was surprised to hear about that CS Gambling story. I live in Las Vegas and I used to do a lot of gaming regulation work for various casinos and I know how tight the rules are on gaming. Letting kids gamble within the Steam wallet currency seems pretty shaddy to me, but maybe they get away with it because you just get steam currency and not real currency?

Cheapy had so much more energy this week! Like a completely different person from last week.

Also isn't wombat a football fan and dont they name the super bowl with roman numerals? Since XIII is 13 not 8.

+1 for a Halo 5 Firefight game. Someone stream it too.

I hope the live cast from Long Island is at least filmed and uploaded onto youtube.

Bendis is a great choice for writing Riri Williams/Iron Man, as he has a multi-racial household. Hopefully it's better than his current Iron Man series, I haven't been enjoying them at all.

Sexy dinosaurs in your area NOW!

I'm stealing Wombat's sausage recipe, just like when I stole his mac and cheese recipe to make a jaw-dropping masterpiece of a dish and then immediately forgot how to do it afterward.  Dude should seriously put out a cookbook.  For the sake of my attention span, at least.

Thorbahn is on brand as always! He will be the one who will #makeCAGgreatAgain! .......or maybe just make it slightly better since there was never really a decline of quality.

Thanks Cheapy for giving the info on the Counter Strike Go situation in a nutshell.  I'm not a part of that world, but hearing your take was very interesting.

Wombat was good too (don't cry).

Steam currency is real currency, as you can buy and sell CS (and other) items on Steam. Plus, don't you have to put down some real money before you can participate in most gambling sites?

Cheapy nailed it on the head with his take on it: If the idiot YouTuber had just been honest and upfront about his stake in the company, I suspect he would have had a lot of people joining up simply because of his street cred. That feels like a lot of these YouTube personalities though, I always get a feeling there's some hidden payout given to them by companies trying to surreptitiously endorse things. How many Toy reviewers, makeup tutorials, etc. does YouTube need anyway?

Yeah, I like the fact they mentioned if they guy said like "Hey, I love CS GO so me and these other guys have made a website. Check it out!" No one else is mentioning this fact on forums or other podcasts.

You guys should buy the rights to cheapanimegamer.com

Did either of you have a boiling teapot in the background for most of the show? I kept hearing a consistent high-pitched noise in the background that managed to stand out among the talking for about the last 45 minutes, so I wanted to see if either of you knew what it was. I wasn't even listening with headphones, so it had to have been loud for it to be audible on a phone's speakers.

Neo stuff is pretty interesting. It was the first to leak (specs etc) and was heavily rumored for a Fall release with PSVR. Then the Scorpio stuff leaked and turned out to be much more powerful than Neo. Now we wait to see if Sony still plans to release this Fall or see if they can get a spec bump for a 2017 release instead.

I use the Simplisafe system for the last 5-6 years and it works well. The motion detectors are very dependent on where placed or they'll give a lot of false alarms. I had to play around with that but the siren and door sensors work well.

I took Cheapy's recommendation on the Ring doorbell and got a pro model at Bestbuy for $250 with $50 gift card so it brought it down to the same price as the original model. The pro is much slimmer and I can specify motion detection "zones" to reduce false activity such as if a car drives in front of my house. The push notifications to my cell phone work well. The 2-way audio is not great but adequate. I pay for the cloud service so I have a record of who rang my doorbell.

I also use a few dropcams inside my house and an Arlo set outside. The dropcams work really well and I use the mic feature to talk to family in the house when away. It's quicker to pull up the app and talk to whoever's there, than trying to call family member's cell phones to talk to someone at home. The Arlo cameras don't have audio and only record in 10sec clips. They also run on 4 CR123 batteries that are a little expensive but last about 2-3 months for me. They're holding up to outside weather pretty well so far. I pay for 10 day cloud recording for the dropcams but there's no fee for Arlo.

The Canary sounds like it's filling the gap below a Dropcam since the cloud is free for 12hrs. The cloud recording pricing is comparable to dropcam.

I was wondering if Shipwreck ever figured out how to get LED lights to work with his consoles.

I also forgot to mention that I have an ultrawide monitor and it's great if you get a large one. Mine is a 29" LG and is sorta equivalent to having two 19" monitors side-by-side. Games are sometimes a problem since this monitor is 2560 x 1080, so I occasionally get black bars on the side since the resolution is not supported too often. Next time I would get large dual monitors or a larger ultrawide, maybe at black friday. This one cost me $200.

I'd imagine that you don't get as many replies or comments on the Cagcast because, probably a lot of people like myself. listen on the app. Everytime i want to comment i always forget it by the time i get back home and to my pc.
