Best Buy DotD: Save $20 on LEGO Star Wars Force Awakens

Thanks, OP.  I've been waiting for even a small price drop on this, and this fits the bill nicely.  Ordered 360 and XB1 versions (11-year-old it's intended for has 360 at Grandpa's house, XB1 at home).   I had a $20 cert sitting in my account, so I saved quite a bit.

Checkout screen seems a little different for me.  Not the price, like the page layout.

Looks like I picked up the :wiiu: version on June 28th. It's been over a month but I have Elite Plus, so I should be getting $16 back? I originally paid $39.99 after GCU

Hopefully that flip doesn't turn to a flop though.
It's allowed if it happens during the summer.

Are release date purchases of the game eligible for price adjustments if you're Elite Plus? I know it used to be, but I thought I remember the adjustment window being lowered...

Definitely down for getting $20 back if I can...would make the game an even sweeter deal...

xbox one is an even move to trade4cash, easy way to earn points or transfer credit.  wii u makes you a few bucks on each (message me for promo code for extra 5%)

Called in and got a price match done.  3 out of 5 times I mention GCU and they just give me the difference between my purchase price and the sale price, which ends up about 25% higher than it should be.  I have tried and failed to tell them it's just 20% off the sale price, so I just go along with it.

The other 2 times GCU is a foreign concept and I have to escalate to get anything at all, and usually end up with some random denomination that's about half of what it should be.  I figure I about break even with how it goes.

Already? Must've sold poorly. Or, they overpriced it at first to get the "gotta get it NOW" bunch and then lowered it to the price it should've launched at.

Yeah, ever since GCU's price dropped to peanuts, BB doesn't really seem to give a crap about members anymore.

You nailed it. Somehow reps today know less about GCU than ever before.

The email reps aren't any good either sadly as I've had numerous issues price adjusting Infinity figures that way.

Good price for this game, I think it's worth picking up today if you're interested since you can trade it in a couple weeks and get most of your money back.

Any major difference between the PS4 and Wii U versions?

If not, I'll go with Wii U since it's cheaper.

Any version (Xbox one, PS4) better than the others with exclusive levels, etc. is the deluxe edition worth the extra $10?
PS4 version has the Droid Character Pack available now and the Phantom Limb Level Pack (with trophies!) coming next Tuesday. Both are free and timed exclusives for PlayStation.

Deluxe Edition has a Season Pass and a Finn Minifig. Season Pass probably won't light the world on fire but for $8 more factoring in GCU plus the Minifig I think it's worth it. Season Pass levels will have trophies too if that's your thing. A couple of Season Pass character packs are out already.

Wii U doesn't have the season pass and I don't think they are getting any DLC separately either.

Thanks! It's worth a 10 minute call for 20 bucks.

Yes, you should be able to get that back as a PM if you're Eltie Plus.
I called the Elite Plus number and after stating that I wanted to do a Price Match a prerecorded message stated that they'll price match within 15 days with a few exceptions. I've been on hold ever since.

So is a price match outside the 15 days YMMV? I don't want to push it unless it comes as a benefit for being a member

At this point I will just buy things in store so I know I can look someone in the eye and draw illustrations and use a calculator together, if necessary. Yes, this has been a thing.

Problem is, I don't trust the in store preorder thing and my kiosk is gone, so I guess the phone is a necessary evil.

It's in the return period so it counts. The rep doesn't know the right answer. Worst case, buy it again today and return on the old receipt.

This game had a $10 gift cert attached to it and will lose it if he returns on the old receipt.

Just get the rep on the line and direct them to the policy regarding a BestBuy price match within the return period and GCU. It's right on the site in the 2nd to last bulletin on the link I posted earlier.

I have tried that in the past and was still denied. The rep also escalated it to the manager and that did not help.

I expect results and haven't been let down other than random phone disconnects. Speak like a professional and be clear with your instructions. Cut down on stammering and know what you're talking about seems to work wonders. Compliment their name or tell them you don't want to be a pain but...yada yada yada.

Haven't lost yet.

Even got the ancient 50% glitch applied to additional games that I preordered more recently instead of the games I preordered originally.

I have so much eBay credit now, I think it's time to cash out. This is a good way to convert a couple hundred. Thanks!
Where are you guys flipping these to? GS? Barely seems worth the effort. I guess Amazon is an option for several consoles.

I didn't know it had a $10 cert attached, which is why I suppose he needs to be stubborn and not give in, since he's in the right with the PM scenario.

I appreciated this:)

Anybody not getting the Gold Edition or whatever it's called is doing it wrong...the resale on the minifig will actually net you even more money back...

Thanks for the help, Shrike! At first she only wanted to refund me $10.XX. I mentioned GCU and after her math, I received $21.60 back lol I purchased :ps3: Lego Star Wars TFA with it
