Thanks, just added this to main post.

In for the Saints Row/Metro bundle since somehow I don't own any of those games on Steam. Thanks for keeping the thread updated.

These are the lowest prices I have seen.
Yeah, I finally bit on GTA V after feeling left out for a while. It's not Steam, but since you need to sign in through Rockstar Social Club anyway it's the same difference. Used a CC that doesn't charge any conversion fees and has a better rate than Paypal so I got it for about $1 cheaper. Now to just wait for this 64GB DL to finish so I can commence the deviant behavior.

Day 5 added:

DARK SOULS III, One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, Dishonored DE, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim LE, Rayman Legends, Act of Aggression Reboot, Dungeons 2, Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War II, Risen 3, LEGO Games and many more...

Not for GTA5 PC.

GTA5 PC (Rockstar Social Club Version) was $20 on Valentine's Day 2016 on Direct2Drive.

It was $39.99 on sale (before vouchers) & 50% off on V-Day Only Promo Code stacked on top = $19.99.

Didn't notice this deal before :(

Does GamesPlanet bring all the previous sales back on the last day?  I'd like Metal Gear Solid V, but looks like I missed the big daily sale.

New deals are up on GamesPlanet.

Someone else can post the details, I'm too lazy.

Anyways, some of the stuff on sale includes:

DOOM series, XCOM series, Bioshock series, Max Payne series, plenty of Assassin's Creed games, Alien Isolation, Castlevania series and Sacred series.

Is Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen worth it?
I liked it. Graphics are definitely dated (was a last-gen console port) but not terrible. Game play was fun; interesting combat and a party NPC system of "pawns" where you design/level up your own pawn while also borrowing pawns from other players via a lobby-style place. Sort of open world in nature although the quest itself is pretty linear. As a console port, it plays best on controller although I used M+KB.

Biggest knocks against it are the out-dated graphics, weak story and some console port oddities (lack of hot keys, etc). Biggest draws are the active combat system, pawn system is interesting and there's a good deal of content for the price. I have 138 hours on Steam, most of which was from a single play-through. That's a fair amount of side-questing and exploring, not just the main story quest.

Day 6 Added:

XCOM 2, Dragon Ball Xenoverse, PES 2016, Assassin's Creed Rogue Deluxe Edition, Alien: Isolation, DOOM, BioShock Infinite, Mordheim: City of the Damned, Company of Heroes 2, Valkyria Chronicles and many more...

Athlon II X4 645 3.1 GHz

8GB RAM

1TB hard drive

GTX 750 OC 1GB (I could probably upgrade to a GTX 750 Ti with 2GB if it would make any difference)

It's probably not realistic to expect this to run SFV, but I was hoping I could wriggle under the required specs threshold by adjusting the resolution and settings. Mortal Kombat X ran... acceptably with these specs, but only with a lot of compromises.

Your CPU's similar to mine - I'm still on i7 950 Bloomfield (1st gen of the i5 and i7's):

http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-950-vs-AMD-Athlon-II-X4-645

I also have "4GB" GTX 970 + 16 GB RAM DDR3.

Most games for me (except Batman AK - which I do cap at 30FPS)...well, I have no problem w/ High-to-Ultra settings at 1080p for 60FPS. If you have enough watts on your power supply, upgrade your RAM to 16GB & video card to something worthwhile that your supply can handle.

Most newer PC games are requiring 2GB VRAM graphics cards; often the 2GB 660 is what they want for a minimum. You don't really want to be the minimum - as that isn't best suited for performance, decent resolution + decent graphics; you'd really want to hit recommended range.

I'd suggest as long as you have a decent watt supply, find a card w/ more power and VRAM - i.e. 3GB, 4GB or more if it's in your budget. Look into at least the mid-range cards in the 900 & 1000 series, if you're going GeForce - i.e. 4GB 960 version, 970, 980, 980 Ti; 1060, 1070, 1080.

I think a decent graphics card upgrade + going to 16 GB RAM would make a world of a difference for you. It certainly did for me, with my aging CPU.

My system caps at 8GB, unfortunately, but a better graphics card is doable. I'll probably pass on this sale and wait until I'm better equipped for this game (and when it's cheaper). Thanks for the advice!

Maybe a noob question, but ive never bought from here before and ive only had steam a couple months. Can I change the currency to American and will the keys I buy work on my American steam account?

If you pay with PayPal, which you should, you'll see the price in US dollars before you finish the purchase. The vast majority of games will work on your Steam account, unless otherwise noted on the game's store page.

"Bleh" @ only being able to go at 8GB RAM tops. That bites. :(

Some of the games at higher settings, yeah - they can easily hit around and even over 8GB RAM on RAM usage - i.e. such as MP FPS game LawBreakers (which is currently in Alpha; at least there's no NDA's, so I can talk about it a bit!)

I just saw SF5's requirements (nope, I don't have the game yet) - and while the vid-card min is "okay" and you're above that, the recommended is a 960 (which is often found in 2GB VRAM flavors).

I actually had a 4GB 960 version and really liked it b/c I had a bit more buffer room to try for even more details (i.e. I just wasn't saddled w/ the 2GB limit; which helped for getting more details + performance in games like Batman AK, Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4, etc). On the 4GB 960, well...I could do newer games at either 30FPS, 60FPS, or somewhere in-between wherever I wanted to lock it down at with a 3rd party MSI Afterburner program, which all depended per game and at what settings - often at High-to-Ultra.

But, the 970 that I have now out-performs my old 4GB 960 by quite a bit - i.e. almost all games here at 60FPS at High-to-Ultra with the 970 except Batman AK.

Unless you can get an insane deal on the older 900 series cards like I did (someone sold me their barely used 970 for $100 b/c they decided to move to the $700 card GTX 1080) and as long as you Power Supply can handle it (unless you change it, or course) - then probably the 1060, 1070, or 1080 cards are the way to go.

Thanks (again!) for the information. I'm not sure what my power supply is running at, but I'll be honest... I built this system for power efficiency first and foremost. I want to say the power supply is 450 watts, which isn't gigantic, and probably isn't going to handle the more powerful video cards. The one I've got draws power from the PCI slot rather than the 6-pin connector, if that tells you anything.

You have to understand that I Frankensteined this computer from a system I found at a garage sale. The power supply was originally 230 watts or some silly thing until I dropped it into a new case. I kind of had to... the system was low profile and almost nothing would fit inside it. While I would have LIKED a smaller computer, it just wasn't practical.

I'm not really expecting a cutting edge gaming experience from this system, but it would be nice to catch up with all the games I'm missing from the current generation, even if they have to take a visual hit in the process. I just had to sacrifice too much to get Mortal Kombat X anywhere near playable, unfortunately. :(
