I "got" the app, but I can't seem to download it.

On a Nexus 5X, It doesnt show up in my app list on the app, and the store page said it's compatable

 

 

Edit: I just cancelled my free 30-day prime trial 2 days ago, and they're offering me another free month. whatevs, don't even use it, but they'll never catch me forgetting to unsubscribe before it ends

Below where you "purchase" it tells you how to download manually. Go into either the Amazon App Store app or Amazon Underground app, go to your apps, under "Cloud" sync your apps. It should show up, but it didn't show up under its name or "DQ8" right away. 

 

And as mentioned, it is a large download. So be patient and for it doesn't look like it's downloading.

Nope, just not there.  Games I added to my library afterwards are available on the cloud.

I'm really happy that this is the one game that went free. I love DQVIII so much, it's one of my favorite JRPGs. So the more people that get to experience it the better.

I'm a little sad because the only reason I've kept my 3DS this long was to play this game. In the meantime I've bought quite a few 3DS games that I will never play, and now that I have this I am coming to understand that I will simply never turn on my 3DS again.

Works on my old Nexus 5... it was a pain to download/install but I got it working once I uninstalled the Amazon app and then installed the Underground app. Takes a while to d/l and install but free is free. 

 

It looks great but runs kinda poorly, not surprising given how old my phone is. But still runs ok. I wish there was a way to turn down the settings so it ran better.

After a little Google searching, I found out how to stop it from crashing on my note 5. Apparently a simple logging out of the Amazon app and signing back in corrects the issue. I just don't know the "why".

I thought so too but in the normal app, it didn't work. Underground is... different appearantly, b/c it can do stuff the normal app can't b/c it doesn't meet the requirements to be listed on the Play store. You can't get it from the Play store, you have to download it manually and disable some security features to install it. 

 

Nothing sketchy about the Underground app AFAIK. But there are apps out there that are installed the same way (manually) that can hijack your phone.

Works great on my p8 lite.  Good game to have on the phone whenever I'm somewhere waiting.  The game is about 72 hours for the main quest and over 120 hours to completely play through it.  

 

Best part is it's free!!!!

I would pay $20 for this game in a second if they made it a PS2 on PS4 game like Rogue Galaxy. Not even going to mess with it on a phone though.

Major difference is the 3DS version has a new dungeon and ending after completing the game. Besides that still the same basic game minus portrait view on the Android version. Regardless, I'll get it.

Is this dead?  It's weird.  I'm on my US account and on a US VPN and I've never had issues before with "You are not eligible to purchase this app due to geographical restrictions."

I have US Prime too.  I've tried both on my Kindle Fire TV 2 and my Chromebook to no avail.

On my LG V10 it runs like crap, prob 20 fps or so.  It is bad enough to where I'm not going to play it because of performance quality.  Not sure what the specs of my phone to yours is but they are probably comparable.

Damn, missed out on this one, I love this game, I beat it on PS2 and currently playing it on iOS thankfully.
