Two GCU games are $96, slightly below the $100 threshold.  I remember in the last thread, people mentioned getting a $9.60 prorated discount, but that doesn't seem to be working for me.

We need a good $4 filler.

AFAIK, no. However, pre-GCU does count as over $100 if that's your concern.

Now that I know from last time these will only charge a pre-authorization, I reordered Horizon Zero Dawn and The Last Guardian CE's. Need to reorder FFXV CE but I'm not sure what to pair it with. Wish No Man's Sky CE was in-stock so I could grab it and Battlefield One. This promo is too good for pre-orders; gotta get all the things! :lol:

I am not following you. If I want to order two regular prices games at $48 per with GCU, am I going to get the $100 off or not?

$100 off would be amazing. ;)

Yes, you will get $9.60 off because the total was $120 before GCU but you lose $.40 because it goes below $100 after. Just put them in the cart, then do a Visa checkout and you'll see the discount before you confirm the purchase.

Thanks for clarifying. I may do FFXV and Mafia 3. However I am going to wait until close to the deadline with this deal to see what other BB deals come out first.

Battlefield 1 is going to be the best online MP game this fall, whereas gears 4 seems to be just more of the same and I'd trade it in after 10-15 hours but BF games stay in my rotation for a long while
 
All of my pre-orders now have $10 off with that promotion lol.  We shall see if they all stick.

One problem is that there's been several versions of final fantasy's combat system shown so far. I'd describe it as a meld between real time fast paced kingdom hearts and the paragon switching system of FFX13-2 or lightning returns
 
I have a few preorders I can cancel. Not sure which is the best option:

1) I ordered a game using a $10 reward cert. I think I'll get the cert back if I cancel, correct?

2) I combined a preorder with another game purchase to get free shipping. If I cancel the preorder portion, will I get charged for shipping on the other game?

You won't be charged retroactively. Just make sure you cancel the pre-order after you receive your game.

 
So I preordered infinite warfare and am supposed to get cod4 remastered 30 days early- doesn't that mean that it's standalone in some way? And what's to prevent me from cancelling my preorder and keeping cod4?

the early access ends when the game releases. the remaster requires the disc once the game comes out, but for that 30 days it can be yours absolutely free.

It's also only for the campaign. You still have to wait for the complete game to be able to play MP.

 
Not sure if anyone cares but AMEX has a $25 back on $250 right now (YMMV) so if you link your AMEX to your VISA checkout you can get basically $260 purchase for $225.  Might be nice if you are planning on buying a console.

How long is that suppose to be going on for? Might be nice to pick up the xbox one s when the 500gb model comes out.

 
Does using any GC at all remove the discount or only if it drops the total below $100? Like, if I buy $225 worth of stuff but only use $100 worth of GCs or certs so the remaining total is still over $100, would it still work?

Is the in store pickup not available for pre-orders? I'd rather not have to wait 2 days when No Man's Sky comes out. I wonder if I could go in store to pre-order and have them use the visa checkout.

 
The deal takes into account the price of the item BEFORE GCU.  So if the game is $100.00, and $95.00 after with GCU, you will still get $9.50 off.  It is basically an additional 10% off the total price.

Amex language says that if you use any third party checkout, you don't get the $25 credit. I assumed Visa Checkout counted as third party, is that not the case?
 
Got battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 for PC for $86+tax.  Bummer that bby doesn't sell the deluxe editions of either games, but paying $10 more for some bullshit cosmetic stuff isn't a big deal anyways and you can upgrade inside Origin usually if it turns out to be really neat stuff.  

only thing that'll suck is waiting 12-20 hours for delivery to play, when everyone who orders digitally will be playing at 9pm PST the night before launch.  Actually on PC preorders get 2-3 day early access even, I think.

Still, with EA Access on xbox one I should be able to play early there.

Oh, I got the discount with multiple orders, so its not just one per account.

also gears of war 4 comes with a free copper mug and 4 coasters, i want those more than the game

Maybe things have changed. I did this back in November with NewEgg to get a PS4 for $274. I combined a VISA checkout code with a AMEX offer. The sold by line on my AMEX was NewEgg but maybe AMEX caught on and they are stopping that now. Sorry if that is the case but I am not sure now if it will work.

I'm not sure either. My guess is this would code as a Best Buy purchase, but who knows if it makes a difference if you pay with Visa Checkout. Don't really want to try and not get it.

 
The last time I ordered I was about to use a gift card.

But had to cancel, because they added pre-order bonus and wouldn't add them to order.

Now re-ordering.
