If your a Three kingdoms fan, buy it now otherwise you may want to hold off. Looks like Aamazon PM gamestop.

Last month’s release Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII is getting its first PS4 discount thanks to a $20 price drop today at GameStop. The new drop to $39.99 comes on the heels of an announced Power-up kit to release in at a future date. Perhaps now Koei Tecmo is okay letting a major retailer like GameStop sell off its off its current stock while that Power-up kit is still far away.

Horrible game,KOEI managed to make it even worse than the mobile pos that is ROTK12
It's much harder than 10 or 11 even on normal. Also, when I positioned my troops right for pincer attacks and used the right strategies, I was able to wipe out forces up to five times my army's size. Rotk 13 was butchered by early reviews on Steam because of technical issues and cost, and if you actually look at those negative reviews they are almost all from people with less than 5 hours of gameplay time. Take it from a real fan guys, this game is every bit as good as any other in the series. It's like Nobunagas Ambition Sphere of Influence, but you can play as an officer if you wish. Better graphics than previous rotk games, better AI, better streamlining of gameplay. The only thing that is a little worse than 10 in this one is there isn't quite as much role-playing to do as an officer. But it's still a great game after the updates and price reduction.

I've played from ROTK3 to 13, I don't really read reviews, co I've always been a fan to KOEI. This one is def not as good as Nobunaga's ambition. A lot of stuff just doesn't make sense. The same thing as nobunaga, u can't recruit army, they just grow by itself, which is not historically accurate. The commands u can use per castle is very limited, end up having tons of officers who got nothing to do. U can't move army to another frontline castle, what the heck is that about. relationship is just mindless talk/quest. Waiting on PU Kit right now, it did help Nobunaga14 a lot hopefully it would do the same for ROTK13.

Was waiting for the sweet price point. Now I can play ROTK. Love the book, show and games about that era.
Having knowledge about the History sure does help you enjoy the games more. Check out movies like red cliff and the lost bladesman for movies about the 3 king if you already haven't!

havent played it after 11. but no army recruiting? wtf KOEI? hard pass on this

This version is just so bad and a travesty to the series... another indication of their recent mobile port trend.. versions 9/10/11 is still where it's at. If you like playing as a general, just play version 10.

The combat system is just so oversimplified that it borders on stupid now. Most battles now simply consists of pincers and waiting for your "global mana" to fill up and then using your best skill whenever it's up.. (the ones with the aoe buffs are the best.. +speed might be OP if you go for sneaky attack on the main castle i.e. Zhang Liao). If you liked the RTS style combat, go for NA11/12 (i think?) where it at least had individual energy bars.

NA 12 and 13. 11 is kinda weird

That sucks if the series is that bad now. These games were my intro to RotK back on NES, I use to play the hell outta that game. That last one that was memorable to me was on SNES.. i forgot which # it was in the series.

Anyways, I would love to give this game a try again, but do you guys think we'll be getting a 'complete' edition with the PUK version coming out in Japan? I guess it comes down to how well it did in the West though.

Not sure if the PK version will be in US. Also the Rotk games on famicon(NES) are made by Namco not KOEI.
