Ebay Gift Card refund help

Ok, so I brought a video game on Ebay using a ebay gift card that I brought.  Received game but it was cracked and I returned it back to the seller.  The seller then refunded my payment.

However when I check my Paypal, the amount was refunded but then it was the immediately deducted and said it was refunded back to ebay "voucher"

Did anyone come across this same problem when getting a refund for a purchase they made using a Ebay Gift Card and know how to get that amount back?

It will go back to the gift card you used to pay with, hopefully you still have that gift card if not you would have to give PayPal a call and they should be able to tell you the GC info. I just had a purchase from back June 30th refunded back to me and I had to check a small stack of eBay GCs just to find the ones that I used for that purchase.

It should just go back to the gift card you used, so make sure you still have that email to access the gift card.

Digital gift cards are just like physical gift cards, you can still use that same card by putting in the number as long as there's an amount refunded back to it, so even if you used it up fully, they can still put the amount back on there.

They wouldn't be giving you a new card.
