When you select the game there will be an rent or buy option on the bottom of the screen.  Tried it last night at a machine for Until Dawn.

EDIT: Came back from my local Redbox, some of the prices were active like MKX and Kung Fu Panda for example but everything else was still higher

I've had a Gamestop employee almost refuse taking the redbox game with the sticker on it.  But then I just showed him the receipt that Redbox e-mailed me (showing I had actually purchased the game), and they were fine taking it at that point.

A hairdryer on high for 30 seconds should do it.  Be extra careful on discs though...
