Tmnt turtles in Manhattan XB1 16.25 Amazon.com

I almost picked this up a couple days ago when the xb1 was like $15, but the reviews are just so bad. I still want to pick it up, because turtles, but I think $10 is my price point on it.

i think the reviews are mostly bad because there is no local co op option...anyways i ended up price matching at best buy and using a rz certificate so paid about 2 something thought i'd give it a shot

yeah, most of those reviews on Amazon are people complaining about lack of local co-op.

The game itself is ok, just don't expect P*'s A game.

Speaking of, turtles in time never came back on PSN did it? Sony failed to renew their license and the game is no longer downloadable.

I bought it when it released and had a lot of fun with it. It feels like a throwback to Turtles in Time in some ways. The gameplay is fun, art direction is great and the story is good too. I only played single player, but I heard it's even better playing online with others. Considering the amount of upgrades and specials, I'd say there's good replay value to.

The game is ok. I picked it up day it came out and it maybe took me 4 hours to complete that weekend. Ended up selling it and only taking about a $10 hit. Not bad for this price bit when you're done you're done.

This is quite possibly the worst game of the generation. Combat feels like a really crappy version of the arcade game's old combat. It's absolutely atrocious compared to how Platinum has done combat in games like Bayonetta and Transformers Devastation.

Also, you don't just go from Point A to Point B in the levels, you do a handful of boring and repetitive missions over and over again until the boss appears, then engage in the awful combat with it for way too long until it dies.

I loved TMNT growing up, but there is absolutely no reason anyone should buy this game.

Avoid at all costs.

I will get it eventually, mostly because I do like the art style. I saw that most of the complaints were no local co-op, which is garbage in a TMNT beat em up, but what really made me hesitate is the comparisons; less like Transformers or Bayonetta, and more like Korra...

That's what pushed it down to an under $10 buy, for me. I'm sure it'll be there soon enough, then I'll get my turtle fix.

I enjoy me some TMNT, and rented it because I figured it couldn't be THAT bad.

I'm angry that I wasted the time on it. It's maybe the worst game of the year so far, especially given the strength of the license. Platinum + TMNT should have been a slam dunk. Instead, it's even worse than Korra, because at least that turd had real levels instead of random boring repetitive missions in small sandboxes.

E: drunkagain said almost the exact same thing :V

Incorrect, Konami lost the license and could no longer distribute that or the Turtle arcade game.

yeah i remember those who had already downloaded it could keep it but if you didnt already have it in your download history you could never get it ...i only had the demo :p

My friend gave me this as a present but I haven't played it yet. Been waiting to play it with 3 other players for the best experience. If anyone's looking to party up for this game, hit me up. I'm on Xbox for this one.

Do you have to go to Best Buy in person to do that, or can you just tell them online somehow? Thanks.

Will they do ship to store in those cases? Also, does it have to be shipped & sold by Amazon? Thanks.

yes has to be shipped and sold by amazon..and they probably can do store pickup for you :) rather than ship to store they can probably do a store pickup same day totally forgot about that lol...call them and see!!

I'm in; I had some Amazon credit to push the price down even more.  My boyfriend is a HUGE TMNT fan, and he was drooling when he saw the promo for it.  Sounds likes he'll be disappointed when he actually plays it, but oh well. :whistle2:
