Games to play while watching videos

Even though I know multitasking is probably an overall bad thing, one of my favorite activities is to play a game while I have a video playing in the background that I only have to partially pay attention to. I make my way through most of Giant Bomb's free videos and some of their premium videos while doing this.

If the game takes too much attention I completely ignore the video though. I figured Hearthstone might be a good watch while playing game, but it ends up taking all my attention when I play. I thought maybe I could play some turn based strategy games like Xcom while watching shows, but that didn't work out either.

Recently, some of the games I've played while watching are Regency Solitaire and Hexcells from the recent Humble Bundle. I've also recently discovered nonograms.org which is a really cool site with thousands of picross type puzzles.

I also started Titan Quest Anniversary and Grim Dawn and they seemed to work ok with videos, but while both games seemed decent, I haven't decided if I'm going to stick with either.

I'm looking forward to getting The Crew for free next week. I wonder if that game will go well with videos.

What games do you find works best with watching videos at the same time?

 
For me, it's games with a ton of repetition that I need to grind out levels and trophies for. Mainly RPGs and fighting games. Persona 3 and 4 were the main ones, very easy to play without putting attention into. Now I'm going through Blazblue's abyss mode similarly. My problem is that I wind up playing more attention to the game as well and not the video, so I usually watch old movies I've seen before like The Matrix or Groundhog day. Kinda random but it keeps the grinding bearable.
 
Any game that allows you to grind for XP or in-game money are usually the go to games for me when I watch my favorite videos. I can focus on the video and still be able to play without needing to pay attention to the game very much

 
Pretty much any game after the first hour. You're going to miss stuff, but you can always replay your thing a couple of times. I always do that with bombcasts. Good games for this include MW3, Dark Souls, Ninja Gaiden 1 and Kingdoms of Amalur. Just skip or skim dialogue, or pause your thing if you really, really want to. I wouldn't recommend Yakuza 4 though, as the story there is good and there's a ton of it.

 
I have a question for everyone, so what videos are good for watching while playing games?

I'm currently grinding through Senran Kagura on the Vita, which has a ton of loading screens and the gameplay is button mashy, so I don't really have to pay attention to it. Would like for something to distract me while I'm playing, but not too much though. 

Anyone have any suggestions? Maybe like a movie, or a television series?

 
My go-to is Hearthstone, maybe you just need to play a more mindless deck...I've also been finishing some 3DS RPG's like Pokemon Omega Ruby and Dragon Quest. The grindy, old-school RPGs seem to be the best option.

 
I always play runescape. i play both old school and rs3. Both are equally fun to play while i watch movies

 
me and my cousins watched Warcraft movie while playing Warcraft III . not the dota map thingy, the original gameplay.

also I discovered this game where you can play it and leave it there while doing anything. I think its called Ragnarok Journey or whatevs.

 
I need to find something to watch while playing Overwatch. Damn, that game is starting to bore me. It can't be too distracting though, or require too much attention to watch. Maybe old wrestling matches or Family Guy.

I really enjoy playing on my Vita while watching TV shows. Games like the Ratchet & Clank collection, Persona 4 Golden and Masamune are infinitely repayable for me.
