7 days to die 19.99 @ gs ps4 and xbox 1

dont buy it, especially on x1, get state of decay instead
That's a completely different type of game so don't listen to this guy.

State of Decay is great, don't get me wrong, but 7 Days to Die is a lot different. No story or missions or objectives, etc. It's pure survival, open world. Really good game and probably the best in its genre so far.

Exactly this.

Its not for everybody, but its really great. The best with at least one consistent friend, solo only I'd suggest a pass.

I bought it day one for XB1 and it was buggy as hell.  I got rid of it promptly.  Has it been patched since launch?

I can't speak personally for the game, but ACG's review of it was absolutely brutal. I'd keep far away.

Definitely one of the few reviewers I always rely on and trust with making purchase decisions. Great channel and super knowledgeable guy. Despite being interested in this game during the early access on PC I can't justify spending $20 to try it out if they basically released it in such an unfinished state.

The only bad  thing about the game is if don't beat the game in 7 days you die in real life

why so horrible, what does the game play like?
My comments are based on the PC version so I have no insight on how bad/buggy the console port might be. It's happened before where great console games are ported horribly and suck on PC so the opposite could also hold true. I will also say that the game on PC is still in Early Access meaning it is still in development and so bugs and the like are expected. They've been constantly updating it and sometimes the updates do make it buggy or hard to play but they usually fix them.

As far as the game, it's an open-world survival game. Your character spawns into the world with nothing and you have to scavenge for supplies to make things, weapons, cook and find food, etc.

I bought it day one and it looked like an original xbox game. I sold it promptly. I hate bashing a deal but this game was booty...

I agree.

The game is buggy, there is lag, the menus kind of 'break down' after a while and you have to push the menu button about 3 times to open or close it but....it is pretty fun WITH a co-op partner. Also something to note - it has splitscreen co-op which is a rarity with many games these days so if you like that kind of thing (I do) then this may be a great option for you.

We played Minecraft together and liked the 'survival' aspect of the game and wanted to play a game with a little more depth and focus on the survival portion rather than the creative side. This game sorta hits that itch. Sure, I'd love for it to be bug-free and there are many things that could be improved upon with a bigger development team or budget, but sometimes you take what you can get.

If you like playing splitscreen with a co-op partner, it may very well be worth the $20. If not, I simply cannot recommend it as a single player game or even an online co-op game (there are probably much better options).

Yep, I heard the same thing. It's pretty common with ports of these early access Steam games. I went with the PS4 version just for the simplicity of splitscreen on the big screen TV but if you have the means of playing it on Steam instead - do it.

Looking at the comments he replied to, he seems like an immature dbag. I have own the game since day one. Yes it did have it's bugs but it has had updates since then. I played it bugs and all an enjoyed it. I mean 20 dollars for a zombie Minecraft game isn't bad when you can pay 60 for no mans sky.

So you are saying that 7 Days to Die is a disaster...enough said.
You may want to re-read that. Not sure if your trolling or serious at this point. God I hope your trolling.

And I'm starting to think your acg himself. For your sake I hope not.

What does another bad game that cost more have to do with anything? That could be said for every cheap bad game. It doesn't change the fact that the game is not worth it's 'cheap' asking price. If you like the game then ok. Dont pretend that your comparison makes any more sense just because you like a bad game. Is that how you rationalize a purchase? 'Hmmm...the game sucks but there are games that cost more that also suck...ok I'm going to buy it'.

Once again your steering away from what I'm talking about. 7dtd is not a bad game, yes it had issues but it has had patches. I was referring to no mans sky also in a half glass full sense. Some people dropped the price of a triple a game for it and it flopped. Let me make it simple for you. 7dtd is not a bad game who ever is intrested in it. I would go ahead and buy it at 20. A lot of replay value. Some people paid more for other exploration games. So it's a steal at that price. Smh

Can't talk about the console version, but the PC version is easily in my top ten of best games I have played.

It's *not* for everyone.
It's a zombie survival game, that does not hold your hand.
Back when I played it a lot just staying alive for 7 full in game days was a major achievement. Doesn't matter how well you prepare, the game will find a way to kill you when you get the least bit comfortable in thinking you will be fine.

I remember getting trapped in an attic at night with pretty much zero ammo.. and a horde of zombies tearing down the house to get to me. Just before dawn... the house fell. Lol.

Look majority of the hate comes from the less then stellar PC port. 100% 7dtd is better on PC but alas if you are only into console gaming and are into zombie survival crafting tower defense then there isn't anything comparable to 7dtd. The initial week launch on console was super rocky with gaming lagging/freezing when the game gets action intensive ie battling a zombie. Several patches have been updates and the game is pretty solid as of now. If you are looking for just survival crafting then yeah there are other options for you.

Don't get me wrong though you'll still have issues due to the view in front of you now uploading as quickly as you move simply due to the fact that it's have trouble handling 49+ days of looting data (map is huge). Also console servers can't handle more then 4 people at a time (or was it 5?). Games are also by host so if you join a random game and the host leaves, you get booted.

All in all for $20 it's worth the price if you are into this type of genre. I introduced this game to several gaming buddies of mine and they played solid 5-8 hours every day for 2 months straight. To this day they still play it but I've moved on to dipping into my backlog. I occasionally hop on their server to check out the progress they've done on the base.

P.S. don't fuck with the bears

P.S.S. This isn't minecraft so structural building is important...unless you don't mind dying from the roof collapsing on you because you built a second level with no middle support >_>

Let me make it simple for you. It's a stupid comparison. A lot of people paid full price for Syndicate. So next time you are at the store buy Evolve since it's $20. Both games have exploration and involve walking. It's a steal.

The similarities between 7DTD and NMS are readily apparent, so you're just being intentionally obtuse. They can scratch the same itch potentially, while Evolve and Syndicate are two completely different games. You just seem to like to argue. Are you even interested in 7DTD?

That assumption is made without looking at the fact that xbox one owners are also interested/not interested. Like I said...name one game that someone didn't buy. Now...use that logic on every purchase. People bought Battlefield 3 Xbox 360. Definitely get Hour of Victory Xbox 360 for $20 they both have guys holding guns.

Also...what exactly are the similarities between NMS and 7 Days to Die?

A lot of people buy bad games doesn't mean an equally bad game at a reduced price equals a 'steal'.

7 Days to Die retailed at $30. If you didn't think it was worth it then...does $20 really change your mind?
No Mans Sky retailed for $60. If you didn't want it then...does $40 really change your mind? If you want to compare them then let's compare them at around 33% off. Game is still bad.

If Minecraft is similar to 7 Days to Die which is similar to NMS...would that mean that Minecraft is similar to NMS? Lol no...it's not.

Crafting, building, gathering resources...

Absolutely nothing in common at all.

Are they SAME game? no
SIMILAR concepts? yes.
That's like saying Dont Starve is like Minecraft.

That's like saying NFL Blitz is like Madden.

That's like saying Call of Duty is like Halo.

That's like saying Super Mario Bros. Is like Rayman Orgins or Legends.

That's like saying Terraria is like No Mans Sky.

All comparisons have the same fundamental ideas but are executed differently, set in different worlds and feature different characters...therefore leading to different audiences.

The next time someone says I want a game with spaceships, crafting, different planets and animals to discover ...I want you to recommend 7 Days to Die.

The next time someone says I want a game that you have to survive zombie hordes by building protective structures in one setting...I want you to recommend No Mans Sky.

Then you can explain to the person that they both have crafting...so they are the same.

More like "7 Days to Return Your Copy to GameStop".

This game is basically an early access build yet they put it on disc.
