Looking at buying a Sega Saturn? How much should I look to spend and any tips?

Title says it all. I'm looking to add another console to my collection. I'm not looking to get a system complete with the original box. All I want is the box and a couple of controllers, including all cords obviously.

Ideally I would get a copy of pander dragon saga but that costs big $$$$$. What game recommendations would you have?

I think what you are saying is 'I want the system and a couple of controllers'. Not the box. Anyway, Saturns around me go for ~$80 from a used game store. Looks like ebay can range from $50 to $80.

The Sega Saturn is a big system, about as big as an Xbox. I hope you have the room. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny on it, especially if you want it to run import games.

I have a Model 1 US version, and a Model 1 JPN version.  Love them both.  (Went to Japan in 2010 and found a complete in box Saturn with a bunch of games for a good price.  Couldn't pass it up.)

I *think* it's considered that the Model 1 Saturn has just a tiny bit better picture on it.  Can't confirm that, but I think that's what others have said.

Saturn has an amazing fighting game lineup.  Very good imports, too, if you have a way to play them.
