Advice on a new Smartphone

OK, so my Samsung Galaxy S5 is starting to die. The battery only lasts about an hour/hour and a half, the charge won't go above 87% anymore, and the screen flickers if going below 15% brightness. But I want some advice on what phone to get.

Best Buy has a couple of interesting offers, including a $200 gift card with an LG G4, G5, or V10, but reviews I've read say that it's a pretty poor phone, as well as a free Smart TV with a Galaxy S7 but the reviews on those TVs are mixed as well.

Are the LG phones any good? Is there any other special or discount some store is offering on cell phones right now?

Oh, and my carrier is AT&T

If you're thinking LG, take a look at the V20.  Better than the G5, none of the issues with the replaceable module idea that not as well-executed as it could have been.  Coming out in a couple of weeks if you can make the wait.

New Nexus (or maybe Pixel, depending on the news) phone is being announced on the 4th.  The Nexus 6p is a great phone and one you should look at since it's pure Android without carrier or manufacturer skinning.  No removable battery or SD card slot, though you can get the 6p with up to 128GB of storage.

BBY has a deal on the LG G4, G5 and V10 since they're either last year's phone (G4 or V10) or not selling as well as they'd like (G5), since they're trying to clear inventory.  Out of those three, you should look at the G5 or the V10.   Any of those three LG phones have a removable battery, which would fix the issue you're currently having with your S5, as you can't remove the S5's battery.

S7 is a big improvement on the S5 as it brings back the SD card slot the S6 dropped.  S7 Edge might also be a look at since it adds a larger battery plus the curved display.

If at all possible, wait until the new Nexus/Pixel phones are out. You should see even better deals on the Samsung's and LGs. As other's have said, The S7 is a good bet. My S6 is nice, but the lack of a SD card slot is killing me right now.

Curved display doesn't interest me at all. Just a bigger surface for fingerprints.

Does the S7 have an improved autocorrect? Because the S5's is complete shit. It goes bonkers on almost every word with an apostrophe in it, especially the possessive kind.

Also, the S5 does have a removable battery. I'm on my third one now.

I owned the LG G5 for a few months. Overall solid phone. Great camera, decent screen. Baterry life is terrible! Hoping the nexus 6p prices dip  now but have a feeling ppl will hold on to theirs

I ordered an Xperia XZ that should be arriving in the next couple days. It should keep me happy until Nokia comes back in full form again.
