Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen $12 [Humble Monthly Bundle] [Steam Code]

Amazing game that surprised even Capcom and now has an MMO overseas. Can't say enough good things about how unique the game is, in managing to marry an MMO-style world with single-player action RPG elements. Very dark fantasy, very shadow of the colossus inspired, and very epic. This even includes the expansion which makes it a steal!

It's the closest thing to a good Berserk game. To the point where they eventually put straight-up Berserk DLC in it.

Also the ending is hilarious and bonkers.

One of the best RPG's I've ever played but it took me a little while to get over the beginning of the game.

PC version is drastically better, they did a great job. I played it again twice on PC and can never go back to the console versions.

How much of an improvement is the PC version vs the 360 version?
Performance-wise it's night and day. There isn't any new content though or a graphical upgrade outside of resolution and frame rate. I couldn't get into it for some reason on the 360 but I played the PC version for over 140 hours.

I've never bought from greenmangaming before, they just dump you a steam code correct?

Ah shit, it's in the thread title nevermind.

Is there any reason to get this if I have it on PS3?
For new content and whatnot, no. It's the same thing as the console version.

For the fact that it runs at 60FPS and has better visuals than the console version...personally I think it's worth it. That and you can mod Into Free back into the game. LOL

This is crazy tempting for me, but I have a ton in steam credit, and I have Overwatch to play right now, Pokemon and Final Fantasy coming next month, and a whole list of other releases on the way. I think I'll hope it goes into the Steam Winter Sale and bide my time...

Warning: just get the game from humble bundle monthly instead! It's November's early unlock for the same price. I bought from GMG and it'd a tremendous game and a great price but may as well get additional free games for the same price!

Yeah, I just got it from Monthly for the same price. Even used my 10% off first time subscribers that I have from a past bundle to make it be like, $10.80.

I played this game for 50 hours when it was free on PS3. The longest game I played and then quit playing. Didn't really have the time to play such a long game.

But since it plays better on PC, I am thinking about trying it again.

This game looks amazing on PC for what it's worth ... much cleaner looking than it ever looked on console. Highly recommended

Dragon's Dogma being in the Humble Monthly was news for enough people here to make me think that this having it's own thread isn't a bad thing.

You guys are making it hard to resist buying this for PC. Already played the hell out of the PS3 version and would love to play it again. . .

If you have any bit of performance snob in you, you will love this port. I played originally on the PS3 when it went PS plus. It ran at about 25fps. I loved the concept, but it just felt rough around the edges. The PC version is fantastic and people are playing it more on that platform.

Did you play the expansion? It's included in the PC release. That's a nice bonus too. Plus if you jump on the humble monthly, you'll get some other good stuff when the December bundle is released. If I haven't sold you, then you are a cheaper-ass gamer than me :)

Oh I bought it on release after playing the demo and then bought the game with Dark Arisen when that came out. I had already fought and killed the UnDragon by that point and had nearly max characters so the deep dungeon was pretty easy. Beat the final boss using Heaven's Keys and stacking that one damage potion 5x for crazy damage on him haha. Farming him was fun using that assassin build since I could normally kill him in one tackle hehe. Grab face: stab stab stab. :)
