Thank you OP. I bought one. I regretted not grabbing one the last time it was in stock.

This will be for my backup 360 console that's a backup for my main 360. I bought an E console for $10 from a family at GS. They were trading in the whole console, but at that time the GS employee explained to them that they would actually get more credit by trading the hard drive, controller, and power adapter  ;)  separately. I was like "if the store doesn't want it, I'll give you $10 for just the console."

I seriously miss the Golden Crisp coupon right now though.

Ah, thanks so much. I'd gotten one of those $100 Peggle 2 bundles a couple years ago, I think a deal from NewEgg on ebay and had been looking for a cheap official hard drive to pop up since then.

Any easy way to transfer content from one internal to another without a transfer cable? Having to get one of those for $10-15 makes it less of a deal. And by content, I mean everything - profiles as well as game data.

If there's a GameStop store in your area, buy a preowned transfer cable, use it and then return it. Sounds a bit sketchy, but that's exactly what I did when I transferred my profile and saves from my 360 S to my 360 E.

This is tempting, not sure if I should bother though.  I have a phat 360 that supposedly still works.  Haven't booted it up in a long time.

I have seen people tear out a phat 360 hard drive and shove it into a S model 360, just not the other way around.  Not sure if I should even bother, going from slim to phat with this hard drive.

Bought one of those knock-off 500GB hard drives for my phat 360, for about the same price.  Been using it solely for game installs.  Would be nice to have an official 500GB though.

Trying to install the files you need to run Xbox Classic games on an unofficial hard drive is like wrestling a bear. I mean, sure, it's POSSIBLE, but it sure ain't pleasant. If you don't already have a drive for your system, this is the way to go.

got one to replace my 250GB. FYI, even tho it doesn't mention it, and i would've guessed that it should, official MS HDD=emulation for your back compat OG xbox games, as that's a deal breaker for me if it didn't. according to 'Derrick L' who is on chat support and most definitely not a robot.

thank you OP! for this 70% off deal!

Nope, and why would you consider using it? There are much cheaper options and Microsoft has allowed you to use any external USB 3.0 drive. Best Buy had a sale the other day for a 2TB external drive for $60.

Xbox One? Take any USB 3.0 external drive, plug it into an Xbox One USB port and viola you just got extra storage. I think the minimum drive the Xbox One requires is 500GB.

Got it for 29.98. Only about 10 percent of stores have it marked down. Was lucky enough to find 3 in socal around my area. Would have bought the other 2 at other different stores but they are seagate so I figured I would take my chances with one. Hope some fellow cheapyss got the other two and not flippers.

Thanks for the dpci. Wow that's a great price. I hope I could find one near me. Thanks again.
