Please tell me you're not going to make a new thread for every one of these titles you find.

Nintendo probably will reprint in the future similar to how long OOT was out of stock and climbed in price.

Is tropical freeze any good? Pretty much the only DK country game I haven't played. Very tempted at this price though
It's maybe the best platformer I've ever played, complete serious.

DKC:TF is fantastic, and thats coming from someone who resold it after playing to world 2 because I thought it was too unfair, then rebuying it later and beating it twice in a month just because I was so addicted to how fun it was. The soundtrack alone is worth this price, and I usually don't care about game soundtracks, just saying. Don't think I'm skewed just because I have a mario tennis profile pic either haha. If you own a wii u and haven't tried this game, you are really missing out IMO.

A lot of people who've played DKR share your opinion, actually. Yet I can't. Having grew up playing the SNES Donkey Kong Country games, something about DKR just doesn't feel right and I couldn't get into it. Not a bad game, but best ever? Nah.

Also grew up with the SNES DKC games, but couldn't get into this game, either. Worst part is I felt the controls and the delay response time of them were off. Which on a platformer is big no-no. Game also felt unfair in parts, and I found the level design kinda mediocre. The graphics also left a lot to be desired: most levels looked pretty plain, and amazingly DK actually looked better on DK: Jungle Beat for GameCube than he does here.

That pretty much sums it up. The controls would have to be the thing that killed it for me overall. It's like ice-skating with an elephant strapped to your back.

Couldn't agree more here. I am a die hard Donkey Kong Country fan (DKC 2 being my favorite) and I just couldn't get into DKC Returns. The controls were frustrating to me and didn't feel as tight as I had liked. It made the gameplay feel mediocre, and the level design left a lot to be desired for me personally. I was literally forcing myself to finish the game because I no longer enjoyed it for what it was. I haven't played DKC: Tropical Freeze so I hope it wins me over there.

Have you played it on the 3ds (instead of Wii)?

Because I can't read.
edited to add: But a lot of what I said does still apply to DKC:TF. It is a better game than DKR, but still, not the best platformer ever. Not even in this generation. (imo)
