Guilty Gear Revelator PS4 Retail Amazon $19.99

Pisses me off, I bought ggear for 30 on a lightning sale this black Friday :/
If I remember correctly, the stock counter was really low on this and the other Aksys BF Lightning Deals - something like only 5% or so sold. They probably have a ton of stock they need to get rid of.

I can't post links cuz this is my first post, but Amazon has the newest Guilty Gear Revelator for PS4 for 20$ right now! I don't know for how long so grab it while you can! The PS3 version is still 50$, no discount there!

Amazon has actually had this for a little over a month at this price, along with several other Aksys PS4 games.

Oh, don't get me wrong, it's still a very good deal as most other retailers are still selling it for more, it's just been going on for a while.  This game took forever to drop in price and as soon as I saw Amazon selling it for $20 I jumped on it.

they announced a sequel to this already.
You're talking about Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator 2. Its not a full sequel. They're going to add in an improved online component, some new moves and rebalancing, a few characters and some new story elements, but it's supposed to come at a reduced price. Also there's supposed to be an affordable DLC upgrade option for those that already own Revelator. My best guess is Revelator 2 will come in between $40-$50 and the upgrade option will come in between $20-$30. No idea on the release, but it's just hitting arcades in the Spring. Guilty Gears typically take about 8-10 months from arcade release to console release, but this is a smaller upgrade so maybe only 4-5 months or so. It could hit in late Summer for those on the fence on whether to wait for Revelator 2 or buy Revelator now and upgrade later.

Edit: Talking about this gave me an itch to check out the freshest news on Revelator 2, and a new Famitsu leak has a price in Yen for what the upgrade will cost, and it translates to $20. So expect that to be the upgrade price.

Thanks OP! Instead of yelling at you and making you look like an A$$ for it being known, I didn't know, so thanks for the post!!!

It's been this price since last year.

Lol, I'm kidding, well it has been but Thanks OP for bringing it up! It wasn't really advertised much, and it's a fantastic game as well. The Dlc was also free for some time if you caught it.

If you're interested in Rev 2 (yes, Rev 2, not Revelator 2), it would probably be better to go ahead and buy this at $20. Word on the street is that the DLC upgrade to Rev 2 will cost $20, so you can get this version and play it for now and decide if you want to spend the extra $20 to upgrade later. The consensus seems to be that the retail version of Rev 2 will cost $40, so the only foreseeable reason to wait would be to save hard drive space, but even then there's no telling how much of the update will be on disk and how much will be DLC.

By the way, this is an excellent fighting game and you should consider it if you have any interest in fighting games. Very fast-paced and deep. Every character plays very differently, and player interaction is emphasized greatly. It also has the best tutorial/challenge mode in any fighting game ever, period. The tutorial gives you an obstacle course type layout that helps you get comfortable with movements and the basics, and the challenge mode goes over advanced techniques (including some option selects), how to play the different characters, and how to combat the strengths of other characters.

Just don't expect to mash buttons and take games online. If it's any indication that it's a game worth learning, it's the online competition.
