What's so great about being tall? How about this:
A 2004 study by psychologist Timothy A. Judge, Ph.D., of the University of Florida, and researcher Daniel M. Cable, Ph.D., of the University of North Carolina, found that every inch of height amounts to a salary increase of about $789 per year (the study controlled for gender, weight and age).

By this calculation, someone who is 6 feet tall earns $5,525 more annually than someone who is 5 feet, 6 inches. Over the course of a career, of course, those numbers can really add up.

What's so great about being short? How about living longer!

The fact that tall people die younger appears to be an immutable physical reality. A short person is like a Honda Civic: compact and efficient. Tall people are Cadillac Escalades. With all that extra weight and machinery, something’s just bound to go wrong. Against that backdrop, those who wish for more height for themselves or their children face a Sophie’s choice. Even if a couple of extra inches of height will increase your standing in the community, your IQ, and even your lifetime income, does that justify trading in years of your life?

This episode of the Cagcast is a great example of why I tend to pick on Ship a lot in the forums. The number of ignorant generalizations he makes in order to score "AREN'T I VERY SMART?" snark points is infuriating. This one doesn't top the infamous "I see cows outside, how can we have a problem with cows?" but it's up there.

Ship, I doubt you're still reading this, but if you're interested in educating yourself, keep going. Blizzard is a company that spends a LOT of time perfecting game play in their games, and are renown in the industry for a high level of polish and game play testing.

The reason capture the flag is not a good fit in Overwatch is this: the mixture of hero types creates a unfair advantage when defending or attacking the flag, and most of the matches end up in draws. They are smarter then you when it comes to game design, and they worked on this mode for years. Do a two-second google search bro. It's actually really interesting to read about detailed game design - I'm surprised you're not more curious about it.

This is when you say "Hey, i don't REALLY care!" Well if that's true, just don't say anything at all. Thanks.

Dude you realize he just had a newborn kid, right? He's probably had zero sleep this last week.

Congratulations Shipwreck on the new baby boy!

I had a baby girl just one day earlier than you, and I laughed so hard when you said 'nobody mentions these things needs to be fed every two hours'

Can no longer take cheapy seriously about anything being "too expensive" after the face brush discussion this week. $80 on sale? Funny stuff. Thanks for the show. Don't read this as an angry comment, just laughed at it

Regarding your Best Buy discussion . . .

In the past 6 months or so I have been purchasing less games at Best Buy despite being a Gamer Club Unlocked member. The reason is that their stores are no longer reliable when it comes to having titles in stock. Their game shelves are less than 50% filled and their toys-to-life sections have become a joke (The last Best Buy I went to had about 5 Lego Dimensions sets and about a half a dozen skylanders figures - and no crystals or level packs). It's almost like they DON'T want you to use your Gamer Club Unlocked memberships at their stores. With Amazon offering 20% off on new titles along with the lackluster rewards benefits offered by Best Buy, I have less of a reason to shop at their stores.

Shipwreck, Congrats on the new addition to the family.

It is fun to listen to Cheapy get excited about the MeMes and other Overwatch culture while both Shipwreck and Wombat make a valiant attempt to sound interested.  Kind of reminds me of me when my wife is talking about the new clothes she just bought.

Speaking of pirates, is anyone else watching Black Sails?

I caught the Rooster joke Wombat was trying to make, but the lyric is actually, "they come to SNUFF the rooster" so that might be why it went over about as well as "reptile disfunction."

Oh man Cheapy, you gotta try RE7 in VR. It's pretty good. I am playing though the game once in VR on "easy." My second run will be without VR on "normal."

Personally, I found the default VR setting to be so-so, but I read what a user said on Kotaku to to the following:

In VR mode, go to [controls] in the sub menu and change the right stick to SMOOTH. In the [display] menu, turn off the FOV filter.

With these changed, you can strafe with the right stick and free-look with your headset. It feels great and actually like I am walking in the world from my chair. I got a little woozy, but not enough to go back to the jittery turns of the default VR display and control settings.

RE7 and REZ are now my go-to killer apps for PSVR.

That confused me. I'm thinking, what reference is he making? Then he said it and I understood while facepalming. Next time you want people to get a reference, reference it correctly wombat!

best of luck Shipwreck. You might not want to hear this but I found kid  #2 to be incredibly hard.  (I had daughter first, then son as well). This is because, while I now new how to "do" everything, I also knew what a tough road ahead I had for 2-3 years.   Hopefully the little guy will sleep well for you.

Congrats Shipwreck!

I traveled to Long Island last year for the Retro Gaming convention. I enjoyed the convention and the live CAGcast. Will CAG be attending the convention this year? I'm looking forward to the convention this year since I just got a complete Sega Genesis system with Sega CD and 32X.
Is there any chance of CAG doing a PAX panel. I also travel (from PA) to Boston for PAX. It would be great if CAG could do a panel.

Congrats Shipwreck on the new addition to the family!

Cheapy, I too find myself shopping at Best Buy more since I joined gamers club unlocked. As an adult with "bad" skin I'm looking forward to your thoughts on the Tao face brush to see if it's worth the money.

Congrats Shipwreck! The kids are going to love your game room when they get older.

Are you guys all getting Mass Effect a launch?  Doesn't seem to be a lot of hype around and Its only a couple of months away.

I thought you said we'd be able to now add comments in real time if listening on the app. I'm using an Android and i don't have that option :whistle2:(

Wombat, the song is about "the Rooster," a Vietnam war vet, not an actual rooster. lol
