This is pretty interesting - especially for what are the most rare games:

Summary on Kotaku:

http://kotaku.com/a-...ight-1791697705

His complete post on NintendoAge:

http://nintendoage.c...threadid=170644

Check out his list of the top 40 rare games and then the next 50 in that second link.  I might have the Pinball Hall of Fame game (or did at one point) but none of the others.

Of course that is because most of the rare games are crappy shovelware that didn't get much of a print run.  But still, it was pretty impressive of him to put together all 1262 games!

Now out of his list of higher-priced, more desirable games, I do have 10 or so out of 25 (things like Metroid Prime Trilogy, Last Story, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn, Xenoblade Chronicles, Dokapon Kingdom, Little Kings Story).

There was a brief period, about 2 or 3 years ago, when I considered going for a full Wii set. GameStop had a good selection for Wii games and they were generally pretty cheap. I was able to get a number of the well known rare titles shipped from other stores to my local GameStop. I started to look into it more and realized how many games there actually were and decided I didn't have the space or patience for a set this large. I appreciate what he did but it's not for me

Wow, that's pretty neat. Reminds of the one guy who had the entire PS2 collection...

I have some of those games, Guilty Gear X2, Horse and Me Riding for Gold, Fritz Chess and Mensa Academy.

Thanks io. I'm going to have to give that a good read through. I have a feeling you just cost me some money :-P I love finding hidden gems for the Wii. Last year I came across games PokePark and Go Vacation which I had never even heard of previously. And finally bought Marble Saga Kororinpa 1&2. Most recently I picked up Fortune Street (complicated Monopoly with Mario and that Slime guy). At Bestbuy they had it used for only $10! I thought it was hard to find so I had written off ever getting it. The Wii definitely has the biggest variety of games types.

I actually bought Fortune Street when it came out with the intention of playing it.  I never got around to it, but I still have it somewhere.

Olengie: I have no idea.  I just saw this and thought it was interesting - especially the "rares" list and his list of the more desirable games.  I could see maybe completing that part of the collection at least.  Personally I have one shelving unit with all of my games on it and I have a very small section with some of the best Wii games on display.  But it is 1/100th of what this guy has ;).

I would never want own every Wii title, I couldn't deal with myself knowing I paid cash for shovelwear like Petz 22.5.

Pretty impressive feat considering the sheer number of pure crap that was released for the system.  Gamestop actually had decent prices on many of the rarer titles (in his top 40) a few years back but they definitely seem to have raised prices since then, if you can even find them.

I remember CAG member The Questyen was going for a complete Wii collection, not sure how close he was to that number.

I used to keep up on the rare / hard to find Wii games, some of those on his lists passed my hands from time to time. I still have tons of backlog I'm trying to get through on that system...
