So I went looking for the $20 128gb SD card which was of course $35 at my store.

The lady working electronics has a huge pile of 70-100 games out at the electronics checkout area. It's all old 2010-2013 titles from Wii, DS, 3ds, Xbox 360.

I noticed a stack of the first bravely default game new sealed, which I'm interested in.

I asked if they were being clearanced, she says no. They are stock from the back room that are being inventoried?

I asked if I could ask the price of one, she says no.

I ask if I can buy one, she says no.

I really didn't know what to think and was very confused so I walked away.

Anyone have any idea why Walmart would sit on stock of games for 3-6 years, pull it out of a back room, then refuse to sell them?

Nah I was nice and she helped me with finding the Samsung memory cards first. Didn't seem like in a bad mood.

She was likely going to get them ready for clearance. They have to keep games in the cabinet or security cases according to policy so that's probably why she didn't want you going through them before they could box them up. Go back today and they might be ready.

Yes....weird.

I would have asked to speak with a manager saying that you were interested in purchasing some titles if the price was right.

maybe for a tax write off

Knowing the local Walmarts they are probably full retail price or 10% off.

Or getting sent back to sell on the website.

Wal-Marts are known to eventually unearth ancient shit like that and send it away. They're doing that way more these days. Before they would just let the stuff sit in the back and rot or bring it out and like the other guy above me said slap a measly 10% off sticker on a game 6 years old.
