I bought a Xbox One S Battlefield bundle last week when they had the extra $50 giftcard with it. The total came out to $265. I used $162 of trade-in credit and charged the other $103 to my debit card. Everything went through fine and I've already received the system. So today I happen to look through my bank statement and I show the charge for $103 but then on the same day they also charged me $112. I just spent 30 minutes with customer service and the guy tells me yes I show that you had $162 of trade-in credit on that card which was for that transaction but after the transaction was finished we only used $50 of that trade-in credit not the $162 so we had to charge you the $112 to a debit card in a separate transaction.
I have never heard of anything like this. He tells me you still have $112 on that trade-in card. Of course I threw the card out when the transaction was finished because it showed zero. So he puts me hold for like 5 minutes and then says they will refund the $112 to my debit card and it will show up in a couple days. I never buy stuff from Gamestop's website and this was a good lesson to never do it in the future.
So make sure you guys check your bank statements when buying through them.
